He lead them to a Memorial Cup Victory

- D0PPELGANGER

He lead them by being 4th in points?

Or was it the 6th in goals that was "leading" them?

Edit: or was the lack of intensity that Sens fans on HFboards are talking about that was him leading the team?

If you mean he skates around like he has lead in his skates, by all means, yes I agree with you.

Jeremy Bracco LED Windsor to the Cup victory.

Mistaking "lead" for "lead" or "led" is a common writing error most people have made at least once.

1) Lead - means “to guide or direct.”
2) Led - Accompanied somebody somewhere to show them the way (past tense of 'Lead’)
3) Lead - a soft heavy toxic malleable metallic element; bluish white when freshly cut but tarnishes readily to dull grey

Wait, did he lead his team in the playoffs, or did he underperform because of an injury?

Which is it?

- Feeling Glucky?

Brown played 35 regular season games. He had an early season wrist injury. He will be a top 6 NHL player.

to be expected. these guys claimed karlson was injured after Matt Cooke for 3 years. it's near perennial that they claim Bobby Ryan isn't scoring 30 goals because he must be suffering some sort of injury.

no one uses the injury card like the sens do.

I know it's foreign territory for you leaf fans, but when the top NHL teams, like the Senators, go further than a hand full of games, AKA being easily eliminated in the first round, these teams tend to have more players injured, or being unable to play due to injury.

The leafs have only qualified for the playoff twice since 2005, and both times easily eliminated in the first round, and only have 13 playoff games in total, since 2005, hardly enough games for leaf fans to become knowledgeable about what happens when top teams, like the Senators, go on long, deep playoff runs. In the Senators case they played 19 games in this playoff run .........so don't worry, perhaps the leafs someday will get to the level that they can make it to the playoffs, and actually get past the first round, and their fans will become familiar with injuries, and how they're part of the game for all teams that go deep in the playoffs, like the Senators.

Spazzo makes a fair point, but not specific enough.

Brown could be a top 6 forward on the sens. I mean, they seriously don’t have more than 5 better forwards than a middling junior player. He could make the nucks top 6 too.

But rightly so, he wouldn’t even be bottom 6 on any other team.

are you suggesting they aren't a top 4 team? they made it to the conference finals so it's pretty clear that they are. expect to see them win the division next year and make another run at the cup.

They were one goal away from beating the team that is up 2-0 now in the finals. I think you might be right. What are the odds of Karlsson being hurt again next year when they make their run?

sens deserved to win game 7 after being out shot miserably. i thought they were better than their 6-2 OT record in the playoffs indicated. really should have gone 8-0.

karlsson will battle through this year's playoff injuries for the rest of his career.

Will not happen, prock has already guaranteed the leafs will win the Division next season, and the Cup either in 2018 or 2019.

Come on Dopps.

Not even you believe it was "easy" for the Caps. In fact people have argued that they had not much in the tank the first couple games against Pittsburgh.

Further, if you weren't on this thread, if you were just hanging with your buddies having a beer, you would readily admit that the Leafs season was in no way, shape or form a failure and that what they accomplished was a pretty big surprise.

psh, the Leafs were beat by the team that almost beat them, that had it's star scorer injured by us.

Clearly, if not for some bad luck, the Leafs would be up 2-0 in the finals now.
