oh Logan Brown led them eh? Lol. not the 3 forwards who put up more points like Jeremy bracco who led the tourney in scoring? or the 3 members of the team named to the all star team, which Brown was not?

it's hilarious that you pick Logan Brown. if he makes the sens squad next year that's an embarrassment to them.

- prock

Logan Brown will not make the Sens next year ............ I think I made that clear in my previous post ................. but not surprised you missed it.

I think he's still young enough to spend another season in Junior, and that would be good for him, if not then I see him spending the better part of two seasons in Bellville .........

-$100 on the Caps to win the cup.
-$100 on the Caps to win the East.
-$50 on the Hawks to win the West.
-$50 on the Hawks to win the cup.
-$20 on Minnesota to win the West.
-$200 on _____ to beat Ottawa in the first round.

I was countering the point made by one of the trollonto trolls, that the Sens were "lucky" that they played teams that had either had injured players, or players lost to injury .................. he did not seem to think that the Sens had their fair share of players playing injured, and players lost due to injury ........... no advantage to any of the teams.

As for trading rosters, no. Ottawa has solid core, and will most likely add a few rookies of their own next season ............ except they won't be all we, or the toronto centrist media talk Ad nauseam about.

Colin White should be a solid two way center, in a season or two. Thomas Chabot should join the team at some point next season...... named CHL Defenceman of the Year just the other day.

And maybe in another year, Logan Brown, who lead his Spitfires to a Memorial Cup victory, will make the Senators main roster.

So Window is opening, and will be open for a number of seasons .............

- D0PPELGANGER

People care about prospects that are difference makers, or project to be, at least.

So yes, the bolded is accurate.

anytime you can trade a player who is not an upgrade and get older at the same time you have to do it

oh and also give up a 2nd while getting a 7th back

I misread, I thought it said he would be with the team next year. I don't take much time reading many of these posts. I read them rather quickly.

Great, maybe he can finally lead a team next year, as an overager.

Lead them, again, to another Memorial Cup ........... yeah that could happen.

But if he's eligible to play in Bellville, I would suggest he's be better off there for at least a couple of seasons.

To lead them AGAIN, he would have to lead them a first time.

He most certainly did no leading this year. there is no argument to say he LED the team.

The leaders of that team are Gabe Vilardi at forward (who at one point was projected to go top 2 or 3 in the NHL draft), and Sergachev on D (arguably the best drafted D prospect not in the NHL). Logan Brown wasn't really a key player on that team.

You could make an argument to say Jeremy Bracco led the team to the Mem Cup. I wouldn't agree, but you could make the argument. You can't argue Logan Brown did, without looking like an idiot.

Dude, if you guys add 3 of the top 5 rookies, in a single year including a generational talent, people will talk about it. That isn't happening though.

What IS happening, is exactly your actual, real situation with bad contracts, players on the decline and not nearly enough in the pipe, not to mention the stars aligned for you this year and everybody except Sens fans recognizes it.

I think that is the funniest part.

Sens fans actually seem to think Leafs fans are jealous

WTF, Yeah we are jealous that that lucky bullpoop run got them the 28th pick, putting them even further behind the Leafs.

... and everyone knows he who laughs last laughs best and listening to Sens fans yapping made the defeat amd realization that that was their window, all the more delicious.

In fact, it is even BETTER now because the team actually thinks their window is open, so they won't rebuild, the core will die a slow and agonizing death a la Vancouver Canucks.

Hilarious, an Ottawa fan talking about an Ottawa prospect leading the Spitfires...

http://www.sportsnet.ca/h...tercard-memorial-cup-win/

Yeah, that was a Toronto prospect doing the leading, but thanks for adding one more mark to the Leafs side, as if it wasn't already a lopsided question.

leafs eliminated in first round .............. Sens came within one goal of the Finals.

please explain how the leafs will improve on the last season ............... are they bringing in some new really good prospects? Are they going to sign some big name UFAs? Are they going to make a big trade to acquire a big name established star? Are they going to lead the NHL in loser points again next season?

Just how do they get better, than backing into a WC spot, and getting eliminated in the first round?

Maybe
Maybe
Maybe

I dont understand the loser point question. Are you asking if they will get to a lot of overtime games again? I guess they might.

Are they going to lose a lot of the OT/SO next Season? you cant say, winning or losing in those situations is not really a repeatable thing, very random results year to year.

Now I know you have tried to spin the OT/SO loses (loser points) as a bad thing and as you put it once before the leafs backed into the playoffs by not getting extra points in OT (so dumb), but they gave away extra points, they didnt gain them just by getting to OT, they gave up the most leads.

After a very slow start the Leafs just got better as the season went, they have a lot of prospects who are ready to start fighting for spots (again this season), they have had a ton of picks the last 2 drafts and have 7 more this year (including the sens 2nd)

The sens have 4 picks and are old and have to trade more futures if they have any hope of continuing this All in thing

We have accepted the reality.

Ottawa was extremely lucky. Leafs have a better young players, better cap position, better ownership and better fans.

Lovin the reality.

You won the 28th overall pick. We aren't jealous, we are laughing.

Actually, I don't know that they will improve. I expect sophomore slumps and injuries and some other teams to have better seasons.

Please explain how you think the Sens will improve, given my crystal clear post on the realities of your roster and the fact that you had everything go your way and still failed.

... You need to study up on the Canucks since 2010, the day their season ended and their window closed.

What used to happen in a tie game, before overtime and the shootout.

So, how can you possibly call it a loser point. The "extra point", for the fluffy skills competition is the point the winner picks up.

You really need to stop making arguments that are stupid and ignoring actual facts.

in 2014, Vancouver had 101 points.

Were they in a better position than the Sens.

If you think so, then this thread is really about who is icing a better team, right now.

If it is more than that, if it takes into account age, salaries, prospects, ownership, talent level of young roster players... then the Leafs are way Ahead.

Obviously the Senators "iced a team" that came within one goal of advancing to the SCFs.

The leafs "iced a team" that backed into the playoffs, and were quickly dispatched to the Golf course in the first round.

Nothing, right now shows that the leafs will improve to the point that they will be able to win a round in the playoffs ....................... however, between now and the beginning of next season, things can change ........... so let's now assume that Ottawa will become old and decrepit, and the leafs will improve to the point where they will be cup contenders ............... let's see what happens over the off season before anyone presupposes anything other than what the latest playoff results have shown us.
