So all you super knowledgeable leaf fans, who know everything about every part of a leafs trade, did NOT know that part of a leafs trade, that included Ottawa's 2nd round draft pick this year, scored a goal last night.

- D0PPELGANGER

How do you get that no one knew?

So rattled.

Congrats Dion on his first career nhl playoffs

That should just about cover it. Not that there aren't more beauty troll attempts to quote but we get the point don't we D0pps. Quick! mention Price and it will all go away.

A young prospect.

My "expert analysis" was just pointing out that the leafs traded their top goal/point scorer from their AHL team ................. again, you just spin and spin...... big freaking deal.

Do you know the guy Ottawa acquired when they traded this year's second-round pick away scored last night?

- D0PPELGANGER

If it was only that, we wouldn't have commented. You were a much bigger twat than that. Rambling on about trading our best prospect, for a guy who would only play a handful of games, non being a payoff game.

Again, if you and Spatso weren't grade A (frank)ing idiots and make outlandish predictions, non of which come true, you probably wouldn't receive half the backlash

Curious. I am enjoying the hockey, especially all the Canadian teams. Too much bitterness. Save it for the summer. Relax, enjoy.

Like I said. The Leafs should draft Matthews. I said they would win games against Washington. We will see about the series. If they win one at home, I think it is Washington that starts getting spooked.

It's actually fairly impressive to see what the Leafs are doing with what is considered the worst D corps in the league. Imagine if they could just improve their defense to average.
- walshyleafsfan

Leafs aren't even bottom 5

Col, buf, dal, det, phi, nj and az are worse.

Heck, 2-6 we are better than car, ott and mont's junk defenses.

Markov has been a very good 2 this year with Weber. Benn is a nice 4-5. But ya I take the Habs D over TOs.

Not Carolina. That's a top young d corps in the making. They're pretty stacked.

Montreal isn't bad right now, but they've got some work to do, they have to replace Markov (probably Sergachev though). Just about every one of their key D is past their prime now. Not WAY past their prime, but into their 30s.

Yep, Montreal is better right now, but most likely not for long.

The Leafs have an absurd amount of cap space this summer, so if there are any top dmen on the market, you can bet that'll be an area the Leafs splurge on, as well.

It would definitely help, along with the cash, if they can make some noise in the POs to attract FA attention.

We are moving into stage II of a typical blue koolaid summer. Fans are beginning to notice the stories being floated that Marner might not be fit enough or ready for NHL prime time. Leafs are a last place team, they are sort of like a very young Edmonton crew of last year without McDavid.

But Leaf fans are great hockey fans and now that the silly summer chatter is winding down, they are getting around to a more balanced level of hockey discussion. We will see the Stage III early season euphoria when they win a few games at the beginning of the season and the Toronto based media predicts good things for them. But the Stage III crash into despair will come like clockwork in early December. Stage IV acceptance of reality will include some anger and frustration but it is not long lasting. And, come early March, Stage I starts again with a high degree of hopefulness as speculation of the guaranteed Tavares signing gets ramped up and fans discuss the great potential of the impending lottery and draft.

I'd say they're already making noise.

Hell, I'd say they're making some noise to one of the top free agent Dmen on the market, who's been playing against them, and probably sees a team he wouldn't mind joining.

either way, they're up against the cap, and have oshie, sgattenkirk, and alzner hitting UFA.

and rfa raises to kuznetsov, Williams, orlov, and burakovski.

somethings gotta give.

ps out of curiosity why is Justin Williams 35 and an rfa??????

We are up a cottage for Easter weekend.

Hockey is spectacular, tv reception is sketchy. Thinking about heading home to see tonight's hockey.

This is the best time of the year for hockey and this is the best year in many years. Hope you all enjoying the games.

Karlsson was a monster all game last night. His play on the Brassard goal was the turning point in the game. It could also prove to be the turning point in the series.

Remember the Bruins are the darlings of the fancy stat crowd. They have the best posession numbers of any team in the league. Everyone should track outcomes in relation to possession numbers.
