Neither "Legit #1 starters" have had a regulation win on the road, since October.
- Doppleganger

So?

Goalies can't decide how many goals their team scores, and a win's a win.

If you're going to attempt to devalue OT/SO wins, what are your thoughts on Ottawa's 8 loser points?

But can goaltender help stop other teams from scoring goals??

Well you may not realize this, so I will explain it to you.

Regulation and Overtime wins are worth more than Shootout wins, therefore Shootout wins are devalued.

toronto is ranked 24th overall in regulation and overtime wins. (Ottawa 16th)

As for Ottawa's loser points, I don't why you'd want me to compare a "loss" to a "win" . Suffice it to say but Ottawa's loser points have them one point behind the leafs.

All losses are treated equally by the NHL, but Shootout wins are not equal to regulation and overtime wins.

By not winning in Regulation since October......the leafs have given up points to teams that may have passed them.

oh?

You weren't making the differentiation between overtime and shootout, so don't try changing your argument. Just admit it was as pointless as your usual stuff and we'll move on.

The Leafs's lack of regulation wins still has them ahead of the Sens

I was not "making an argument"???

Where did you see that?

I was pointing out the fact that the leafs have failed to win in regulation, on the road, since October, two plus months. There is no arguing that fact.

You were making the argument that a "win is a win" when in fact a regulation win prevents the opponent from getting any points.

Therefore a win is not a win, when you either give up a "loser point" or a "loser point" in a shootout that does not increase your teams ROW standing.

So you'd be okay if leafs went the rest of the season without winning, in regulation on the road, and therefore allow other teams to pick up points that they would not have received IF the leafs had what it took to win in regulation on the road.

OK.

So let me get this right.

You actually think the leafs are capable of winning the remainder of their road games, in overtime?

Or was that a trick question, trying to divert from the fact that they have not won, in regulation on the road, for well over two months?

The leafs have only 14 ROWs, and eleven teams in the conference have more, including the eight of the teams that are trying to secure the four playoff spots that are currently up for grabs.

A quick look at the leafs schedule in March would be frightening to me, if I was betting on the leafs to make up the points needed to get into a playoff spot.

It wasn't a question. I was just saying I would be happy with it.

I'm sure you'd be very disappointed if the Sens did that, giving up those loser points rather than taking them.

Oh I see............you're trying to change the channel on you previous assertion that "A win is a win" and once I explained to you that wins are NOT the same, when it comes to the NHL's weighting of Regulation & Overtime wins.......well you could not have doppleganger be right again.

Once again, the leafs fail to win a game (last night) on the road, in regulation, and have NOT done so since October, and you're very happy with that trend as you've not expressed any concern.

And if Ottawa gets at least one point tonight, they will become the next team to move up the standing past the leafs in the last few days. The Devils could also pass the leafs tonight with two points, if not, then on Sunday with a win in regulation.

I wasn't actually part of that discussion, but I'm willing to bet you muddied up the language after being proven wrong, and changed your argument to deflect away from your obvious wrongness.

Again, wasn't part of that discussion. But willing to bet it went down like every other argument you ever have.

you wish.

Sorry, Canada has not won a Medal at the Olympics, when playing in International Sized ice since 1994 at Lillehammer.

BTW, both Ottawa and New Jersey passed the leafs in the standings tonight,

No that's not quite true...........they actually issued rings to the players and staff though.

But they actually had a parade when they switched arenas a few years back, and included the Stanley Cup in the parade.

Here are the true standings (points percentage) in the Atlantic Division as of right NOW!

Boston----------- .667 (in PO spot)
Tampa Bay---- .644 (in PO spot)
Montreal------- .620 (in PO spot)
Detroit.----------.543(in PO spot)

Ottawa-------- .522 (18th overall in league)
toronto---------.521 (21st overall in league)
Florida--------- .456
Buffalo---------.352

It's the stat the NHL uses to determine how teams rank against each other at any given time, seeing how there are only two days when all NHL teams have played the exact same number of games each.

It is a "real stat".........and just because you don't like how poorly it ranks your team in relationship to another team does not matter.

take a look for yourself http://www.nhl.com/ice/te...ointPctg&viewName=summary

If it's to hard for you to comprehend, you can just go back to points and fool your self into thinking the leafs are playing better hockey, so far this season, than the Senators for example.

You say the Leafs aren't as good as I think? Maybe. I don't think the Sens are as good as you think, if you think they're in the same tier as the Leafs. The Sens are in the same tier as the Marlies. Good for an AHL team. Absolute horsecrap, terrible, junk, for an NHL team.

Senators currently at .522 leafs at .521............I guess the leafs are "Absolute horsecrap, terrible, junk, for an NHL team" eh?
