So he got 5 and a game ........... where did the addition 2 minutes come from?
- D0PPELGANGER

If you don't have anyone in the penalty box, you can't return to full strength until a stoppage of play. So it was another 2 minutes before a stoppage.

Did someone choose not to put someone in the Box, or was is it an oversight?

Does the NHL allow this?

- D0PPELGANGER

NHL allows this, when the player is ejected.

Thing is, Columbus could only muster a single shot on net during that time. If they had been able to apply more pressure, odds are Andersen would have stopped play, and the Leafs would have returned to full strength.

It's a testament to how good the Leafs' powerplay is.

That was probably the best penalty kill I've ever witnessed. Apparently Phoenix had a longer one some years back but I don't think I've ever seen Phoenix/Arizona play (unless against think the Leafs).

Apparently Babcock didn't put anyone in the box because players don't like think he or sit there for the full 5 so he's really a loyal guy to his players. The chances of there not being a stoppage in play closer to the end of the 5 are very slim so I kinda get the idea they would've preferred to put someone in closer to the end. He said he'll never do it again and tough on the player who sits there for 5.

I've always wondered, what type of employer allows it's employees to spend time on the "inter webs" on none employer related sites?

its 2017 not 1960. I dont want to work somewhere where I feel like I am in jail. I get my work done, I have projects timelines and deliverables, if the work is not done its on me.

Find a company that is flexible, I have put in an extra 10 hours the last 2 weeks, dont have to but they asked it of me. But I can work the hours I need to.

in my younger days I worked at places that monitored everything you do.. its awful..and the pay usually sucks

To be fair you don't need to go through 600 pages to find Spatso making a Richard out of himself. You just need to pick a number from 1 - 600

Do you also have the option to work from Home, occasionally, to avoid bad winter storms or another logical reason?

Working in digital advertising means days where you don't have a crazy work load, followed up by beastly hours.

I'm not looking forward to E3. Basically lived in the office for a week.

I worked from home twice this week because we were having our water heater and furnace replaced.

Is this your "new" job that you went back to school for, a couple of years ago?

yes, I have made it to the office 2 times in the last 2 weeks.
Its easier to put in extra time when I am not in traffic for 2 hours a day

An hour commute, each way?

Either you live quite far from you workplace, or have to travel during "rush hour" each way, on one of the Major routes in Ottawa.

Spatso should really file a grievance that his boss makes him work a full 24 hours shift just because the Leafs won the night before. It's not fair that his boss' hatred of the Leafs affects his life.

If you don't mind me asking, how old were the furnace and H20 heater ....... and were they electric or gas?

Both Gas.

H2O, not actually sure anymore, problem was it started leaking.

Furnace was from 82 and single stage.

Didn't go back to school for any specific job, just the piece of paper. Most big companies value a degree over experience, as a qualifying condition, and I didn't want to be a bit piece in a small business going forward.

But yea, this is the job I got as a result of my learnin'.

I could see him trying to argue electric. He likes being on the wrong side of things.

Holy crap, that's 35 freaking years old .......... you'll really see a saving there .... might want to contact your gas supplier, and let then know about the upgrade, and perhaps get them to adjust your billing, assuming you're on equal billing that is.

Well you would be wrong, I've been exploring the cost of converting to a gas stove, as my electric one is nearing the end of it's life ...... now16 years old.

It's a matter of getting a ROI with everything involved to convert.

We just moved into the house in December, so I didn't want to go on equal billing until I got a good baseline for my monthly usage.
