You'd think that with high end top 6 players like Kadri, bozak, and JVR; elite dmen like Reilly, Gardiner, and that Russian guy; a bona-fide #1 goalie like andersen; and the greatest group of rookies in the history of the universe that they'd AT THE VERY LEAST be able to be in a playoff spot...........
- sensarmy_11

You'd think that without a massive inferiority complex, Sens fans wouldn't post stupid poop like this.

And yet here we are.

Are they going for the Cup this year?

Why not?

- D0PPELGANGER

No.

Because they're not good enough.

Just like the Sens.

Only difference being, the Sens need to win in the next few seasons, before their window closes, but have no assets to use to get their team to that spot, whereas the Leafs' window is ~a decade, and they do have the assets.

Therefore, Leafs are in a better position.

If they can add a top line center, 3 more top-6 forwards, another top pairing dman, and another top-4 dman before Anderson retires and Karlsson starts declining, yes, I can see them as contenders.

It's toronto fans who have the inferiority complex ............. all they've been doing for the last ten pages is bad mouth the Senators ................. because they've realized that Ottawa is most likely going to add the Sixty Three Playoff games, they've played, since the 2005 - 06 season, compared the the measly seven games the leaf have played in the same time period.

The leafs are going to (very soon) past the 50 year mark, since the leafs last won a Cup .......... and their faint playoff hopes, for this season, are looking more or less gone until next season.

Ottawa fans will be watching their team play in the playoffs this coming April, and leaf fans will probably start watching blue jay games instead.

I would love to see the leafs make the playoffs, so that they can play four more games, and up their 12 year total to 11 playoff games ........... but I don't think it's going to happen........... the trade for Boyle has been a bust, and he's not doing what he was brought in to do, one assist in 5 games .......... the leafs were fleeced.

it's not really bad mouthing. I'd say similar things about teams like Vancouver or Detroit. both are badly in need of a rebuilding as well. you can point to the standings but realistically the Sens stand no shot at winning a cup with their current core. it's a core that is aging as well. any "success" they have right now is really just delaying the inevitable.

you can point to the boyle trade all you want but the leafs have one less draft pick in 2019 than the sens have in 2018 and 2019 combined last time I checked. pointing to the trade of a second round pick as some monumental error just makes you look retarded. like honestly, no exaggeration, retarded. like your mother drank when she was pregnant with you kind of stupid. give it up.

He seems to think Boyle was brought in for offence.

I think that is pretty in line with his general understanding of hockey.

Sens have one of the deepest prospect pools in the NHL. Great young players coming through their system. Leafs are all in, nothing left in their system. What you see is what you get. Better figure out how to make it work without any Dmen in your system.

You sound very desperate. A new hobby or perhaps a greater appreciation for life might be something important you should consider. As the gap between these two teams continues to narrow I hope you don't become too distressed. I don't like it when people suffer. I wish you well.

the defense 8s the leafs obvious position of weakness. they need one high end dman and at that point the defense is actually pretty good.

the sens do not have one of the deepest prospect pools in the league at all. it's actually quite weak. I wouldn't be surprised if when the hockey news or hockey's future comes out with their lists the leafs are just as high as the sens.

going completely off topic here but i seem to have a pretty decent focus group.

i'm buying a new laptop and have decided to go Mac. I'm getting it because i'm deploying next month so i want it to facetime, download/watch movies, upload and store pictures, and that's about it.

i don't know a lot about the intricacies of computers so i don't really know what the difference is between the Macbook Pro and the Macbook Air is.

any of you guys knowledgeable about this stuff and can make a recommendation? the dippoops at the apple store are probably just going to try and up-sell me.

I use a MacBook Pro. On my third going back a long time. I hate being a captive of Apple but it is hard to break away. We have a MacBook Pro, 3 iPads and two iPhones between two of us. Everything is synchronous and whatever we put into one device is automatically updated for all. I have no complaints about Apple, just sometimes I think they own me

that happens with android too though. all my contacts all synch. my photos synch. my schedule synch. my email. that's pretty standard across all platforms.

Important to understand the underlying drivers of suffering in spiritual growth. John of the Cross placed great importance on the need to be aware of the dark night. Buddha also wanted us to focus on human suffering as a pathway to greater enlightenment. And, of course , more contemporary writers like Julia de Beausobre write about needing to understand that people's suffering often cause them to do terrible things to one another and we need to exercise tolerance and compassion for people who do bad things out of their own suffering. I have long understood that suffering Leaf fans have been somewhat irrational and often destructive as a result of the repeated wounding they have experienced over these many years.

I generally tend to be accepting of the bad behaviour of some Leaf fans as a direct result of my knowing the difficult life they have known through past regimes.

i have an android phone, but i like the fact that the macbooks come ready to go....don't need to get the anti-virus, update the OS, nothing. you take them out of the box and they are 100% ready to go.

i ended up buying the macbook air. less internal storage and a bit slower processor....but it was 1200$ instead of 1700$, i'll just spend 100$ and get an external hard drive for the extra storage. it definitely takes some getting used to after having a PC for so long, but i like it.

the only people who would really notice a slower processor are people playing elaborate video games anyway. and hard drive space rarely fills unless you have lots lots of videos and photos. in my experience anyway.
