The Leafs are all Blue (good) but near the Bottom
Sens are all red (bad) but near the top (kinda)

Lets hope the 2nd half of the season they correct themselves

Oh and shot metrics matter...Corsi etc.. Good teams at the top in Blue...all red at the bottom

Sorry sweetness, but I have needs which you could no longer fulfill on your own.

It is my addiction and not your cross to bare. I would be useless to you anyway. Just had rectal prolapse surgery. Also my Prince Albert got infected and I am out of action for at least a month. Move on to something a bit, (albeit, just a bit), less used and hookup with Spatso. He is the king of tantric sex. Just his Zenness will have you spilling gallons...

I worked with a lady who taught tantric mediation. Kind of spooky. She never spoke about sex but I always watched very carefully any time she closed her eyes.

Sens just finished the toughest part of their season schedule. They visited Pittsburg and followed directly with a swing through the California teams. Yet, they made it through the past 10 games playing .500 hockey. They are still solidly in second place with a game in hand over Boston.

It is kind of humbling to see Leaf fans cheering against other teams and other players (Laine). I guess you have to go where others don't if you have spent a life time wondering about what it means to be an actual playoff contender.

Sens playing solid hockey in front of back up goaltender. Like what I see. Boucher seems confident that they will be a lot stronger in the second half. We will see.

the Sens have lost 6 of their last 8 games. they are terrible. they had a nice easy schedule for a long time and are now paying the price. it's not over. it's a two game break before Chicago, Anaheim, nyr, and Detroit.

and January is even worse for the Sens. 8 of 12 games against playoff trams. 3 against washington. pit, stl, and Columbus.

I predicted the Sens would be out of a playoff spot by Xmas and out of contention for one by the all star break. looks to be working out to be right on track.

Exactly, he certainly got their attention. They held the Devil's to 6 shots in the third period.

Duh! It is Christmas and they are solidly in second place. Perhaps you should give your head a shake and check a calendar. The Sens are 4-4-2 in their last 10 which included the California trip. Most Sens fans are okay with where they are at this time.

Defense, led by Karlsson, had a very strong night last night.

Your "predictions" seem to be all over the place. Base covering?

Do you still stand by the one that see the leafs overtaking the Sens in the standings?

As I said before the season, the Sens and Leafs are pretty close right now. I'd give the edge to the Leafs. I think as the season wears on, that will prove to be true. I think over the next couple of months, the Leafs will take a decent lead in the standings over the Sens. But, as there are a fair number of rookies, who traditionally aren't used to the rigour of an NHL season yet, they'll slow down, in the stretch run.

He was okay. But it makes a difference with Hoffman out of the line up. Hoffman and Dzingle have top speed that really causes the D back off. Thought they missed Hoffman last night.

Thought Taylor Hall played a big game last night. He has incredible wheels and a powerful net instinct. But, without D in support it can be a lot of flash without results. But he is a very good hockey player and NJ did a fantastic trade to get him.

Boucher says we will not see the full benefit of the change in style until we hit the second half of the season. So far, it has been really good and I am surprised to see other guys start to step up. Last night Ryan, Brassard and Smith scored. All three guys were having difficulty with the demands of the new system. So, it is pretty encouraging to see them all score in the same game.

Yeah the "new" system seems to be paying dividends right now, even with the injuries (predicted by prock) and absence of the Senators starting goaltender.

Wonder what kinda system the Blue Jackets are now employing, as they now sport the best record (.750) in the NHL.

Kind of weird that I've spent my whole life being a fan that's never experienced playoff contention yet my team has beat your playoff contending team each time they've met in the playoffs.

Kind of humbling to see a Sens fan so concerned about a rival teams player that he picks a player that isn't even on his team in the hopes that he might be better than the guy the Leafs got. All because the Sens don't have a forward anywhere close to his skill and potential.

Sens only 6 points up on the Leafs. Leafs have a game in hand. Ottawa with a worse goal differential than the Leafs. I'll take it. Not bad when considering its comparing a team mostly of 28 year olds vs 21year olds.

No system, The Jackets just have some great young talent. They have 2 young Franchise D playing great. They ripped off Nashville in the Jones trade.

Nobody is cheering against Matthews. Pretty normal to see do overs being discussed after the draft and once the season starts. Great sports question is if you held the draft today who goes first? Who wins the Calder? Don't understand why Leaf fans fight against discussion.

And depth down the middle. The most important. Hard to find a cup winning team that didn't have an elite center. Some have done without an elite dman or goalie but can't think of a team that won a cup without an elite guy down the middle.
