Glad you're still alive, been hiding for some time. Its the first week of February and the Sens, Nucks and Habs are all out of the playoff picture. Imagine trolling the Leafs when the Sens are 39 points back of them halfway through the season.

slow rebuild... and 2023 is not even a guarantee for playoffs, at this point another long shot, look at the top teams in the Conference, who are they going to knock out?

and thats only optimistically hoping for a playoff spot...not even in the remote discussion of contention.

Why do leaf fans fall for the same old dog and pony show?

leaf gm brings in a back up goalie from another team.

leaf fans think "finally, we now have a "Starting Goaltender"

back up.... er, starting goalie plays well for a season or a bit longer

players find the "book" on former back up, now playing more regularly

goaltender shows why he was a back up on former team

leafs fail to make playoffs, or lose in first round

rinse lather repeat.
