Add the chant at the end (during the triplet) for the fans to shout: "Flyers GOAL!", "Let's go Flyers!", etc. before repeating (doesn't matter how many syllables as long as it is synced to the rhythm.

Don't give this idea to the Kraken. Lithium sucks as a goal song.

I hate the current song with a passion and the promotion that led to its choosing (another lame footnote to a disaster season/team). I bet there were a significant number of opposing teams' fans skewing the vote.

At least if there's going to be a promotion with voting involved, limit the final vote to a select few (full season ticket holders). Even if the choice sucks, at least it was done be a majority of the most faithful fans.

almost any ac/dc song makes a perfect goal song and they play a ton of ac/dc in the building so i don't know why they don't just go with them.

They were likely looking for a change from "classic" rock (or any rock) so as to be more attractive to a more youthful market. But I don't see how anyone of any age could listen to that song and feel the excitement. Maybe only adolescents (also the emotionally immature). But I guess the youth market isn't really going there anymore to pay close attention to the game, what with the Fun Zone or whatever the (frank) they call it.

I would have been happy with a classic hip-hop number to bridge the gap between the ages, but anyone of any generation with real appreciation and taste in music knows that rock is eternal, even if it's been co-opted by capitalism.
