i also wondered if anybody even knows what a b-side is anymore.

when i was a kid (*shakes fist in the air*) bands released cd singles with a b-side just like the old records would have. now we all just download songs so a song is a song is a song.

the record store i frequented had an entire 8 foot section of wall dedicated to radiohead CD singles and b-side compilations. which is probably how they ended up being the record store i frequented.

they don't call 'em b-sides anymore probably but even on streaming services like spotify you get new singles bundled with b-sides pretty often depending on the band. doesn't seem to be a trend that'll end.

that had a nice rhyme to it didn't it

i didnt really do the whole record store thing much but sam the record man here was pretty cool back in the day. the walls were covered in signatures and little notes from famous musicians. they tore the place down quite a while back and i've wondered what they did with the walls. i can't even find photos of the interior

i used to just walk in and grab pictures off the wall and tee shirts from the rack in the back and then my girlfriend and i would spend hours shopping for CDs and then take it all up to the register, pay, go to the diner, and then go home and listen to our new CDs. record stores were great.

yeah if you dig the record store scene you should totally buy a turntable and get into vinyl.

all the good record stores near me are gone now.

i really miss them. i could literally spend 2 hours in a record store.

i do have a bunch of stuff on vinyl but it's all like collectible stuff or colored vinyl records that i thought were cool.

i might've been wrong about the amount of new songs. while i do have most of the previous unreleased stuff (from crims recommendations) i haven't really listened to them much so it's possible a lot of the new songs in this have been in the wild before
