love in live jazz when the piano or whatever the non-feature instrument is ramps up to sort of signal the crowd that the other guy's solo is about to end and they start cheering

good example at 6:04

So I listened to Linkin Park all night for the first time in a long time. I liked them a lot back in my childhood, so I was wondering if it held up.

Verdict: I think Hybrid Theory and Meteora are both great albums. Hybrid Theory is definitely more raw. Meteora is just a good album from start to finish. I can listen to the entire thing without feeling the urge to change the songs.

They began to lose me more after that. They went through a Gorillaz sounding faze that I didn't really like. I feel like so many bands try to replicate the Gorillaz, but never are really able to.

Love Meteora.

You can hear in Hybrid Theory what they wanted to be but just weren't there yet.

Things start to go off the rails with Minutes To Midnight and they're completely gone by the next album.

Reminds me a lot of Offspring where they really only offer small hints in songs of what they once were.
