a place to stay
enough to eat
somewhere old heroes shuffle safely down the street
where you can speak out loud
about your doubts and fears
and what's more
no-one-ever-disappears-you-never-hear-their-standard-issue
kicking in your door
you can relax
on both sides of the tracks
and maniacs
don't blow holes in bandsmen by remote control
and everyone has recourse to the law
and no one kills the children anymore

They are making a mini SNES apparently. If it doesn't come with Zelda I'm sending them an anthrax letter.

I still have my SNES, even the original box it came in. It'd be nice having an HDMI out option though. Composite looks terrible on large HDTVs.

How much does an SNES cost these days? Is it yellow?

Lol mine is one of the only ones I've seen that hasn't turned yellow, or at least it wasn't yellow yet the last time I hooked it up.

your SNES outputs RGB(pristine analog video signal, same as VGA but for low res) out of the box. Get an RGB SCART cable for it, and an analog to HDMI upscaler(Framemeister is amazing, but expensive though at $350. advantage is that you can use it for all your consoles)

You will have emulator-quality visuals on your HDTV

Or you could go oldschool and get a nice Sony Trinitron with component inputs, and get a SCART to component converter(like this http://www.ani-av.com/sho..._info.php?products_id=220) and you're gonna get a great picture also. And no input lag. I personnally prefer retrogaming on a CRT

sounds way easier and cheaper just to buy a USB SNES controller for PC and emulate. as much as i liked my snes back in the day i'm not nearly that big into nostalgia to drop that much effort into this lol

The point of my post was to play on original hardware. But yes there are 2 groups of retro gamer. ones that want to play on original hardware and others who are fine with emulation. I am in the former group
