I'm feeling a bit nostalgic this morning... as you can see by my musical choices

Yeah well keep it up. It's nice when people post real guitar players instead of screamo someone who is attracted to the opposite sexs, punk morons (davies) and chuggers (walnut/slapnut).

Well, if you want my honest opinion, the guitar sounds sterile and like it's farting rather than a loud-ass Marshall type of sound. That makes it lose points with me.

The riffs, while not creative in any way, are at least played with enthusiasm and they're played competently. There is much room in the mix to make the guitars sound much more powerful. Sadly it was not used.

The singing is serviceable for this type of music though I don't think you'll ever catch me humming it.

The drumming was fine.

Lastly the guitar solo at around two minutes was nothing short of a debacle. Some half assed tapping and letting go of random notes in a slurred, unclear manner does not cut it. The solo stays under the mix rather than flying above the mix clearly, a sign of a lack of confidence in the lead playing.

Sorry you asked?

Do you feel dumber for having listened to it or do you feel smarter for giving asp a smackdown?

I actually saw him last Saturday. He's not quite the same as he used to be but he's still more than enough with it to put on a show.

Yeah I enjoyed it. His voice ain't what it once was, but it was good. I thought his setlist was pretty good for the most part too.

YES

I love how they still have an obsession with all things guitar.

That's their popular music!
