really? I thought it's the best they have done since Seasons in the Abyss, not as good as Seasons, but the best since. It is also way better than the new Metallica, so can't be one of the worst pieces of crap heard in a long time. The song Snuff reminds me of Captor of Sin.

But the new slayer just doesn't do anything for me. It comes in the left ear, goes out from the right, then it's forgotten.

Also, I found Seasons in the Abyss was..... uninteresting.

I like a couple of songs on Seasons in the Abyss, i.e. War Ensemble and Dead Skin Mask. Otherwise I'll stick with the older Slayer.

Maybe... thing is, I always thought this album was praised more for its production values than the actual songs... This album was really a new "Slayer Sound". Kind of like Rust in Peace by Megadeth (which I absolutely LOVE). These 2 albums had very very good productions compared to most bands in those years imho.

But hey, it's all a matter of tastes... some people listen to Lenny Kravitz, who am I to judge.
