Well due to robobans this site lost quite a bit of traffic during some peek times.
But honestly, the main reason is that the other site still has some issues they need to work out.
Sometimes it wont log me in...even after I log in.

I like some of you guys. Nobody else I know will sit and talk about Leafs hockey. It's just a shame because things could be a lot better, but there seems to be little desire to change the atmosphere of trolling, insults, and politics/religion/culture-war bullpoop.

I've walked away from this site a half dozen times over the years, but keep coming back because I'm a glutton for bullpoop. I think I'll stay scarce and wait and see what happens when (if) we finally see some wholesale changes around here that Ek keeps hinting at. If the new site appears and the rules are enforced, then I'll hang around. If not, I'll pull a Drexel and just drop in once every six months to post a single emoji.

I don’t think it’s a problem of rules not being enforced. It’s more dumb people posting dumb poop. Good luck finding a place where that doesn’t happen.

'They aren't "anti-dumb" rules they are rules to avoid what occurs all too often and sidetracks actual hockey talk and they are not a secret they just are not enforced.

Rules like no political talk on a hockey discussion board is an obvious one.

Cool. The political discussions have pretty well dried up. Fake was talking about UG and the general stupidity that is pretty common and pretty annoying. There aren’t rules that can deal with that and if there were, these sites would go out of business.

There was a time where mods were given some wiggle room to warn people who were posting stupid poop non stop in an obvious attempt to incite arguments and the such and then ban them if it continued. There is a CoC rule about being respectful to others and not resorting to name calling etc. that can also be applied to stop some of if not most of that garbage.

IT is what it is but it requires far more moderation to stay on that stuff and Dozzer running solo makes it mission impossible for him.

Agreed that annoying and dumb people will continue to be both regardless but without the ability to block people or not see their posts it's hard to not be annoyed is all.
