The Charlotte checkers are the Florida Panthers affiliate. In a different life scenario, Abby revenged the Oilers. |

Apparently Kudryavtsev had himself a solid playoffs as well. Played in 21 games and the team gave up 3 goals and scored 20 goals while he was on. Impressive. |

Read somewhere that he was +18 during playoffs, definitely impressive |

I’m excited about Mancini. He played really well. Hoping he pans out and Canucks get something back from the disastrous Miller trade. |

If I were to rank the prospects that were likely to get traded, he'd be near the top unfortunately. Can't see them moving DPetey or Willander, so him and Kudryavtsev are the most likely to hold some value. |

I can see a sign and trade of Demko in a nice package.
Demko and 1st to the Flyers for Konecny
Demko, Chytil, and a 1st to Buffalo for Tuch and Noris - dbot
Just stop with "I have no shoulder" Norris |

He played outstanding. MVP of the playoffs. Keeping him would mean trading Demko or Lankinen... though I'm not sure he's ready to be an NHL backup. Would any team realistically keep him on their NHL roster? - York Newbury
You have to think he’s better than Pickard. Edmonton probably could have had him for a third at the deadline instead of acquiring no goalie insurance. Another wasted playoff for them. |

Reminds me of a young Tanev. |

The New York Rangers are sending the No. 12 pick in Friday’s first round of the NHL Draft to the Pittsburgh Penguins to complete the J.T. Miller trade, according to a league source. The Rangers will now keep their first-round pick in the 2026 draft.
Finalized. |

On age alone he is better than Pickard. 23 vs 33
However he is not the answer for the Oilers.
They are in win now with a team that is the oldest in the league, a non existent prospect pool, no picks except 3rd, 6th/7th this year and no 1st next, and cap constraints big time. No way they want another unproven goalie at this point. They need either a Demko type to take the starting role (which they cant afford) or a trustworthy 1B to platoon with Skinner. Good luck to them finding it...not |

Unproven maybe in the regular season, in any other aspect he's very proven. Worlds MVP, Calder MVP, impressive win count for Van in the playoffs last year... |

Only a non playoff team id imagine. I suspect Silovs value is low. Zero chance we trade Lanky. |

Still a Skinner / Silovs tandem is not what McD would want. |

I saw some fantastic fan fiction trade proposals involving Swayman from the Bs to the Oil for Bouchard.

Ran into a guy today who said he heard Pettersson rumours to the Islanders? Has anyone heard anything? What would be coming back? |

Dobson, but it also involves Hronek and Barzal. |

Dobson and Barzal for Pettersson and Hronek?
Dobson is younger and better, but RFA and will likely cost $10-11/year.
Hronek is cost controlled and locked up for 7.25 long term.
Barzal is injury prone and older, but signed long term for 9.15 vs Petey's 11.6, who obviously comes with his own risks.
I would do a sign and trade, but not sure why NYI would take the gamble in this situation. It's almost a wash imo.

I don't think the Islanders want to commit that much money to Dobson with the 1st overall pick. Horvat has probably spoken on behalf of Petey.
The Canucks get to wash their hands of their locker room mess, but man are they thin in the middle.
There has to be a deal on the table for QH as well, or involving their prospects for a top young C or high draft pick. |

A hockey trade?
Cap is almost the same or will be and it works for both teams, I would think. |

If you believe most of what's been said, I think we'll see a revamped Petey this year. |
