In Montreal (sons grade 8 field trip) for a few days. Metric playing here tonight. Wish I could go. Seeing them on Friday in Toronto at the Ampitheatre so all good. Went to old Montréal today and met GSP. Said a few words. Took a Pic. Super awesome dude. Wish it was Emily Haines I met but...still cool.

You'd have to see Toews. 2 years, at 37, without having played hockey at any level? That's gotta be hard no matter who you are (I'm looking at you, Lemieux - or your little buddy, Jagr).

The thing you have to like about Toews and Kane is that they have been there. Toews is a leader and players seem to respond. But - and I mean this with all due respect to both he and Kane - they haven't been doers in a long, long time - like it's been 12 years since they exited the official first round of the playoffs.

But that's not dissimilar to why I (and many others I'm sure) push the idea of a Marchand on the team - they need leaders and guys who not only have been there and done it, but guys who will do whatever it takes to get there and do it.

They're great live. Wifey knows Emily a rare not so secret crush for me so we've seen them a handful of times. GSP was in the parking area where I parked lol. No idea what he was up to
