Unless Kreider paces for 55 + next season his not getting a 1st - nyrangers2
You clearly don’t follow what players get at the deadline.
Kreider, few million retained will go for a 1st+. Save this and we’ll revisit it |

Just like Wallman. Cap dump by DET, they get a 1st this years deadline. |

Perhaps, I but think you're missing the point, or just do not want to see what is in front of us.
The core must change. It's not fast enough, young enough and too soft to compete for anything more than a possible 8th playoff spot.
The time has come. He can't wait for the trade deadline in March. I just hope this only the begining. |

Yep I’ll save it
Rangers were susceptible to an offer sheet for Cuylle. Now they aren’t. Imagine Chris Trump lost Cuylle to an offer sheet because he kept Kreider?

how is it possible that anyone who follows this team regularly and watched what transpired this past season is shocked that they traded Chris Kreider lol

Rangers do not have ability to retain. No cap. Not relevant for them

nyrangers9479 is just showing contrived anger to get a rise out of the blog
you can't go from having reasonable conversations about prospects in a trade to freaking out about trading the guy with the longest tenure in only 24 hours lol
he knew TJ would fight back on his extreme comments because that's what he was looking for |

Don't think they're shocked. I think they were thinking his return would be a rostered player who would plug a hole. But the return is 6.5 mil fishnagels., that's it |

of course it is
I'm sure it would have been a better trade with another team if the Rangers were willing to retain but they weren't
obviously they have bigger plans for their space this summer than another team using it

We all love Kreider but we all also know the time had come to cap dump him unfortunately. It’s a win win trade in every sense of the term win win trade. |

I will say, if CK20 is the only player to leave town in this revamp, it could look a little disingenuous. Others have to go. |

The only 30 plus year olds getting a roster player is Panarin Tro and Miller. Zib would not bc of his cap hit. Thats the list. |

Maybe, just maybe Zib will give Drury a list. Even if he has to retain salary it woukd be worth it.
I wouldn't be broken hearted if he found a good deal for Laffy either. |

Krieds immediately makes our anemic PP much better and that’s alone is reason enough to make this trade -
A 1st PP of - Krieds / Leo / Cutter / Z & LaCombe is nice.
His 22 goals would have tied for the team lead…
He gets to play with either Z or Mason as his C here.
I like Carey but he was in no way making the Ducks top 9 anytime soon. |

Win win trade unless you’re one person here who is impossible to please
Maybe they (Kreider and Trouba) convince Mika to go there now. Then your PP will still suck haha |

Yeah you get cap space… and a solid prospect -
and we get from all reports an outstanding community guy- that’s import to Samueli’s … excellent PP guy - good wheels - plays hurt -
The cap hit is nothing - we’re still not to the floor yet. |

Understatements here. He was with the Rangers for this long for a reason.
Let him play with Z and Franky. |

Pronman on Terrance
Terrance is a strong skating forward. He has the edge work and speed for higher levels and can skate by junior defenders routinely. He has good hands and can create offense off the rush. I don’t think his vision is a selling point, and he’s more of a goal-scorer, but Terrance makes enough plays. His compete is solid and he can kill penalties. Terrance won’t ever stand out in any one area, but he has versatility in his style of play and in the fact that he can play center or wing. He could be a bottom-six forward. He’s not the biggest coup ever, but this is essentially a salary dump for New York. |

He will be great in the locker room. Should help Zegras tremendously. |

Only thing that annoys me about this trade is Zib isn't in Kreids backpack when he goes to CA. |
