Could be a (rumor) second rder and Terrance. That would be a great trade by our unlovable ruthless genius - Slimtj100
Not crazy about Terrance bases solely on his HDB. Obviously have to read up more on him but on the smaller side (187 lbs) doesn’t appear to be a physical player, less than a PPG in his 4th season in the OHL. Seems like another journeyman they’re just hoping works out. |

“showing clear upside as a forechecker with a snappy wrist shot.“
One of the reviews on Terrance, forechecker with a snappy wrist shot. Not exactly what I think we need ATM. |

Has some speed which is needed. Some Brian Rust vibes. Colangelo or gaucher would be ideal tho |

I don’t think you get picky with whether or not we are getting the Ducks 8th, 9th or 10th best prospect.
Kreider is clearly on the downside, had a 15 team NTC, 6.5 mil this coming year and next year, and the Ducks are picking up the whole tab.
Great career, loved the guy, always will. But you take the deal and run. |

Yea it’s more about clearing the cap space and then what Drury does with that space

They need to protect themselves from offer sheet vultures this summer. They were vulnerable like Edmonton was last summer. No question.
This is just first step. Soucy has a 12 team NTC that starts July 1st and they should do whatever they can to get rid of that 3.25 mil too. |

Mixed feeling on moving CK20, loved the player he was after years of frustrating us he finally broke out. If injuries did hold him back last year, this could sting.
We will see what the Clown does with the Cap space, any 25 goal scorers out there for 6.5 mil per? |

Well, he's had two, really!
I hear you, but if we are giving the kid anywhere near that much, it's because it will be a boon years from now. |

Well I’m hoping for closer to 4 mil a year but getting rid of Kreider’s contract gives them that breathing room to get that done. |

The guy who broke the trade for Kreider, Frank Servalli also spoke yesterday about Cuylle being a very possible offer sheet target, like 6 mil per, so that’s gotta be taken into consideration too. |

I like cuylle I think he is a solid player. I just view him as more of a 2nd/3rd liner on a Stanley cup roster. I could be wrong but I am just being careful the money we throw at him |

He will get a fair bridge deal...similar to Laff and KK. |

That’s what happens with offer sheets. Team’s overpay so they can get the player |

I would do 8 years on Cuylle. 6 million bucks per. With the cap raises that will be a bargain

Yeah definitely.
20 goals and 301 hits last season.
And he’s only going to be used more with Kreider gone. |

I'd still rather a bridge deal to keep costs down. |

The only thing is you do that contract and just give Kreiders cap hit to cuylle, how are you getting better? Around 8 million in cap space left and still have to lock up miller/edstrom/rempe. Even if miller is traded doesn’t leave much to play with |

Then you have to be prepared to potentially watch him walk, because someone will offer sheet. I would love for him to accept 3.5 mil or so, just don’t think it will happen. But I could be proven wrong |
