I think that fact that the Canes did not want to see Rant possibly in these playoffs or for the foreseeable future was probably the least attractive thing about it.

Anywho, here we are....stuck with $30 to $45m dollars worth of 4 forwards who are soft as baby poo.

I don't see dumping on a team for a poor performance in yet another game that required much more than that as childish, or embarassing. This particular group has a long track record of doing this.

Unfortunately Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Tavares, and Reilly are going to bear the brunt of this due to their salaries and statuses as "star" players. It's fine to call out all of them without pointing the finger solely at one of them.

The reality is that their collective opportunity to change the narrative around them and their playoff performances is closing fast. They have potentially two games left to rewrite their own history here.

Again, it's not a thing if the other team dismisses it outright without hesitation. I'm sure New York offered poo, the sun and a fart as well.

But zero points in the past two games and only 2 pts in three close out games against Ottawa.
Over half of his points game in the first three games against Ottawa....which is great that he got those points to help the leafs win..... but only 4pts in the past 5 games
