Plate would work yep, just don’t waste unnecessary money. It’s going to heave/lift and do its thing every spring anyway. Not a helicopter pad. Do it up to point where you are happy with it and enjoy it. That’s the key.

Haha I’ve never heard of crappie being called that.

Tbh, I’ve never fished them. There’s a stocked lake here that have brookies (specks ) but the knowledge of where the naturals are is lost. I intend to rediscover where they are.
