Honestly if the Bruins could land Robertson by using a couple of their future first rounders that would be awesome.

Hoping they keep this year's first rounder and draft someone good but that is hoping for a lot and Sweeney doesn't inspire a lot of hope.

Last 3 games Bruins scored a total of 4 goals. Rask supposed to put pucks in the net?

And losing Krecji early in game 3 (for rest of playoffs) didn't help.

I think he would be too expensive for Sweeney. I am willing to bet the Bruins were looking for a cheap option to get them through a transition period.

DeBoer should go to a team who can contend or on the cusp of contending. Bruins aren't there.

Well I'd say any hope of Marchy coming back is gone. He's priced himself out of Sweeney's budget. Sweeney will say he's worth $1M per with some incentive bonuses thrown in.

Even if he was willing to take a bonus laden deal, he shouldn't come back on pure principle. Sweeney did him dirty. He should give the bruins the finger (hopefully with a panthers cup ring on it and sign where he has the best chance of winning.

There's a chance he could re-sign with Panthers, but, some reports I've been reading indicate Marchand is looking for multi-year deal in the 7-8M range. Not sure if Panthers can afford that AND a big raise for Bennett.

Marchand was good for the Bruins, but I don't think a rebuilding team should pay a 37-year old that much with any term. They really do need to rebuild, and if that's his expectations, then getting a (late) 1st rounder for him was the right choice.

Yeah it was lucky we got the first rounder. Could have been worse and it is nice to have an asset for him.

On the other hand he stated several times he wanted to stay and I wish they could have worked a deal out. But if he wants 7+mil I guess there really was no point in continuing conversations. Torn about it, but seeing him in the cup final and doing well makes me feel a little better.

Someone is definitely going to pay the man.
