I love playoff hockey! Great game by the Leafs. Jumped on them early and made it stick.
You could tell the Panthers have been off for awhile, they weren’t sharp at all to begin with. Leafs were certainly fricking ready for tonight, though. That dagger goal was really Knies.
As far as I’m allowed to have a favorite Leaf, Kmies is the one. He already had big balls two years ago, now he’s a real threat. At least FL looked a bit better as the game wore on, on to the next one!
To that big Willie , I hope you haven’t hurt yourself, and if so, may the reattachment operation go well!
Edit; power out, had to go to bar to watch that poop....at least. My sweet barmaid has a sweet smile and personality to go with that rocking rack of hers - Ratsreign
Did you enjoy Knies when Bennett gave him a dirty hit into the glass and then smashed his head into the ice and knocked him out of that game (the series?)

Sorry but we’re a little cheesed about the Bennet - Stolarz thing.
Like… I understand ratting it up, but at some point you lose respect for the player. - Arctic_AARDVARK
Was watching on mute at bar, looked like barely touched him. I didn’t elven realize he left the game until the first one went by Woll. Hope Stolie is ok.
But, Oh well, be cheesed. Have a good night enjoy the victory. |

AI Overview
While "sloppiness" is generally associated with lack of care and precision, it can be a deliberate artistic element in some contexts, particularly in contemporary art and craft. Some artists use it to emphasize concept over skill, deconstructing traditional ideas of craft and skill. Others use it to explore themes like labor, gender, and identity.
Mine is so so so damn sloppy |

Fair enough.
Panthers have a reputation for being dirty. Too many instances to mention.
Paybacks a female dog. Leafs have some big bodies that don’t mind that type of game. |

Yes, as he was the only Leaf with the balls to go at Bennett two years ago. He initiated that whole thing. He may came out on the bottom, but I’ve liked him ever since. Not to mention the beauty goal he scored that game. |

So he initiated contact, and Bennet grabbed his head and drove it into the ice, injuring him.
yeah, sure, that was on Knies. |

To the Willy haters who pretended to be Willy fans all of a sudden tonight - suck my balls.
You and everyone else here knows who you are.
(frank) Bennet that dirty pos and also Tkachuk can suck a diseased donkey dong for the bs at the end of the game.

So you didn't just basically dismiss the whole thing by noting that Knies initiated the contact, and came out on the bottom?
As if it was just a simple body-check where he bounced off the guy.
Admit Bennett is a dirty (frank) who is intentionally trying to injure players and then we can talk. |

They really should.
But the Leafs are focused on playing hockey, not being a bunch of goofs trying to injure the other team.
Anyhow. 1-0 Leafs.

Leafs jump out to the early lead in the game and the series when the pressure was off. But that pressure showed up in the 3rd period and they cracked but didn't crumble. That pressure is only going to keep coming.
Their PK gave up another goal and the PP was 0-5. Marc Savard better stop cheering like an 8 year old girl every time the Leafs score and fix that PP. Bob isn't going to give up freebies the whole series. The Panthers play rough and dirty. So, if the Leafs are going to get 5 PP a game, they have to bury them. If the Leafs can't punish the Panthers physically, they have to punish them on the PP. So far, it was horrid.
Don't think either team played their best game yet but the Leafs have to violently respond next game. Panthers probably did the Leafs a hidden favor by getting Woll into the series (Stolarz would have blown that game) and given them full team motivation to go out there and seek vengeance. Fans praying the Leafs sign Bennett...good luck with that dream now...
Also, why is Hildeby on the bench? Clearly, if there is a time for a back-up to the back-up, the time is now to get Matt Murray in there. Literally his claim to fame is being in this exact situation and winning a Cup while doing it. |

Woll came in there in a difficult situation and did well. Two of the goals were flukes and he made some good saves at the right times. He is a playoff pressure guy. SV% of .930 - 960 SV% in 4 out of 5 of his last playoff games against the Panthers and the Bruins.
But we all know Woll is just as likely to get injured as any goalie we've ever seen wear the jersey. The 3rd goalie must be prepared at all times now. |

That’s a deliberate cheap head shot. He probably didn’t want to hurt him that bad, but he knew what he was doing. How that’s a non call is crazy to me. Serious injury that deserves a serious suspension. |

The crazy part is he's done this so many times in his career without being called for it. It's like he works on it at practice. I just saw a montage, saw that one on Skinner where he just glides in from nowhere, nobody around him, and just knocks Skinner on his ass in the crease. Nothing. |
