That was a decent question. Not super great, for the record:

Overall: 43-33, .915% - 2.42 GAA
Clinching: 5-8, .879% - 3.22 GAA
Elimination: 4-6, .896% - 2.97 GAA
Other games: 34-19, .926% - 2.14 GAA

Definition:
Overall is all of his playoff games,
Clinching is any game where his team could win the series with a win and Elimination is any game where his team could be eliminated.
Other are just the games where neither team could progress to the next round with a win.

Note that a game could be both a Clinching and Elimination game (game 7).

But you can see how is poor performance in Clinching and Elimination games drags down his overall performance. He sort of has a history of being the opposite of clutch.

Let's not overlook the fact the Leafs were not good at scoring goals in clinching or elimination games during Andersen's tenure (and before and afterwards) either if memory serves me correctly.

I just came back from a month's ban for insinuating that Conor Bedard wasn't a superstar, like McDavid or Crosby. Part of it was about the league pushing the narrative that Bedard is the next great Generational player, and Chicago got sold a bill of goods for taking him. I equated that he was probably the caliber of Mitch Marner, then boom! One month off for bad behaviour. Ridiculous, considering I've been here going on 18 years. Thin skinned or what!

So I was thinking about it. With Marner just having his first kid yesterday and all his family here. I don’t see him leaving over a couple million dollars.

Maybe. He's unfortunately a player who can get max term anywhere he goes due to his age and skills. It's ultimately up to him and also the Leafs to see if it's worth it.

I doubt Chicago regrets taking him. He will be fine and very good. #1 picks like Hughes and Mackinnon took 4 seasons before you saw how good they are.

I doubt Chicago regrets taking him. He will be fine and very good. #1 picks like Hughes and Mackinnon took 4 seasons before you saw how good they are.

Yeah, poor kid was thrown into a terrible situation since day one.

He's a talented centre. He'll score you 100 points, eventually. But he's small and knocked off the puck too easily. He is very similar to Marner at this stage of his career. In year 3 Marner was good and got better over the years. However, he has the same issues as Bedard. You can own him physically. Chicago brought in quite a few tough players to surround him, so he wouldn't get killed out there. That also brought a lower skill level due to players like that. He will never be a McDavid, Matthews, Ovi or Sid. He's a cut below that level. So someone got pissy over at the Chicago blog and I get a 1 month holiday, during the stretch drive.

Pretty much. Not even a reason for doing it, nor a warning. One other thing, I did mention that I wondered where Mike Augello went. But that was on the Leafs blog. I know where he is as of now. But that shouldn't matter. I never mentioned where he was or what he was doing.
