Leafs on TV doesn't need any help. But Leafs on radio? How much more likely are you to hit up the radio stream if beloved Joe Bowen is on there?

In fact, lots of people have the radio feed AND the TV feed on simultaneously specifically because Bowen is on the radio. It's pretty clever programming.

That's a bunch of BS. He rarely makes significant mistakes. Bob Cole was on the air for 10 years beyond his expiration date and he'd make six mistakes per period. Nobody cared because they preferred to be entertained.

The majority of the play by play guys have no personality and sound all the same, except maybe Cuthbert. Jim Hughson was also distinct albeit not my favorite.

If the Leafs ever have any real success, it'll be Bowen that the average fan will want to hear and remember.
