I always took that as a natural conversation to have. Rants would accept a trade here, Marner has a big life decision to make soon, of course with a player of Rants stature you would ask Marner if he wants to play in Carolina. It's a big decision point for a bunch of people, I think those conversations probably happen a lot. Multi-millionaires deciding their careers and businesses like any other

Leafs on TV doesn't need any help. But Leafs on radio? How much more likely are you to hit up the radio stream if beloved Joe Bowen is on there?

In fact, lots of people have the radio feed AND the TV feed on simultaneously specifically because Bowen is on the radio. It's pretty clever programming.
