It won't work. You didn't really have any big emotional investment in Winnipeg or Colorado.
Having said that, who you got on Sunday - Interloper
I got band practice tomorrow, my drummer always has the most beer, I’ll see who he wants to win, if he even cares, since I’ll likely be grabbing a couple of his lol
But I’ll still be rooting for Winnipeg tho, let’s get a third Canadian team in round two |

Might be slightly better for me in the pool if Winnipeg wins |

Yeah it was, but likely not called if it was a Panther player holding a Leaf player

I saw the other post saying it was . . . it was a hold, but it was sort of a two way hold. He was held back and then the Dallas played pulled him down (thinking on it, I don't know if he was pulled down inasmuch he pulled the guy down after the Dallas guy leaned on him and started to push him down) - so I wouldn't have called either one of them. It was more of a positional battle than a penalty - and quite honestly, not a good penalty to call in that positional situation in game 7 with 4 minutes left.
That said, I didn't really see Makar trip the guy. I thought he broke his stick, scrambled back, blocked the Dallas player off . . . and I thought, "Good play!", and then it was called tripping and I was sort of surprised. |

My buddy and I were talking about who we thought was going to win each series and in this one I said that I thought Colorado would win but I felt that they didn't deserve to after trading away a player like Rantanen. So there's certainly some just desserts here.

I have to admit that I'm pulling for the Jets.
We have a Zoom group that's been getting together to watch games since COVID hit - and it's from a group of us that were on the same softball team for years between 1997 - 2015 - but over time people have moved around so there's guys in Texas, Vancouver, Halifax and so on. One guy is a Jets fan, one guy is an Oilers fan, I'm a Leaf fan, there's a few guys who are sort of Leaf fans . . .like they're not huge hockey guys but if a game is on, they're hoping the Leafs win. One guy is a Vancouver fan (we all secretly say we're cheering for Vancouver, but we all hate them). Ultimately we all sort of pull for each other's team except when we're against one another.
So I know what Scheifele said, and I know that the Jets can be twits, but I'll root for them in the playoffs.

It's funny you say that because I am trying to look at the other games and see if other teams are getting shafted...
Florida does seem to be the new Boston.

I was surprised they called anything short of murder at that point in the game. I'm all for calling penalties when they happen, but it also sounds like this one wasn't cut and dried and obvious. |

The Florida Panthers had the most penalties per game by a team this season, with 4.15 per game.

I know, I know....it should be even more minutes per game. The League lets the dirrrrrty cats get away with evvvverything. Such a conspearasee |

With Tkachuck back to 100% and a fully healthy Cats squad, you guys are done in 5, 6 max. The ONLY chance you have is if the Cats hand you power plays all series, but- that didn't work out for the Bolts too well. The Panthers never stop, never get flustered, don't care what the score is, and will beat the living crap out of you while they come at you wave after wave. 4 full lines that can score any time. I'm hoping for a good series, but I don't expect it. - gstclairinc
Yawn.
Its the 2nd round with 8 teams left. The whole "your team doesn't stand a chance" is gone. All teams that are left are really good teams, the poop to meh teams are golfing.
Also that series was a mess. Suspensions and TB players all injured. Vasi stunk.
Leafs can win, it will be tough to win but thats what happens when you are in the final 8. |

they should reverse mortgage their house and bet on the cats
that'll show us how certain it is that they are gonna win. i'd personally feel very owned so i hope he doesnt do that |

The dude is mad at his team and wants us to feel the same. Same with Sens fans saying the same thing.
I am excited for this round, this is where it gets difficult and any team thats left has a realistic shot at this thing. |
