Panthers uncharacteristically giving up 2 and 3 goal leads is the only reason this series is even close.

Yes, they are. Assuming the Panthers win again, of the past four Cup winners only two teams had a 90+ point player on it, the 2022 Colorado Avalanche Rantanen had 92 points & Reinhart had career high 94 points last year.

Florida is playing a smothering defensive style of game, it's more about how well you play structurally these days than it is the high-flying offensive days of the past, and how much dog you have in the fight.

they have 19m cap with 10 forwards, 5 dmen and 1 goalie signed.

They can prob keep 1(most likely bennett) and will have to let the other go. They don't seem to have any prospects that can be relied on to step in as well.

EDIT: Rumor is Bennett is already going to sign an 8x8 deal as well
