You sound like Benning taught you well, with excuses like weather/flooding etc.

Speaking of drafting, Dallas has done an amazing job since the 2015 NHL draft picking up such great players that have allowed them to get into the Conference Finals three years in a row. Somewhere the Toronto Maple Leafs have only been ONCE in the past 31 years.

2015 - Roope Hintz 2nd round 49th OA
2017 - Miro Heiskanen 1st round 3rd OA
2017 - Jake Oettinger 1st round 26th OA
2017 - Jason Robertson 2nd round 39th OA
2019 - Thomas Harley 1st round 18th OA
2021 - Wyatt Johnston 1st round 23rd OA

Only one of those picks was taken in the top 15 of the first round, of any one said draft, Heiskanen, so drafting 15th overall is fine, if you make it count. Unlike the Podkolzin pick.

I would love to see Tom Giglardi with his arm around the Stanley Cup on the cover of The Vancouver Sun.

Carolina has no grit, no jam. Panthers are playing a bit of throwback hockey, I kinda like it...to be honest.

Summer on Vancouver Island is hard to beat. It's the other 9 months of the year that can get tiring.
I don't care too much about the weather personally.

And a photo of Aquilini in a tears and distraught cursing, why me, why.

Getting the brooms out, I’d really like Carolina to win one so the winner of west has a chance but looks like Florida is going in rested.

What are you talking about Reuby? Making excuses for what? I'm talking about landing free agents and what may influence their decisions to sign in certain markets. If people don't think weather plays a role in their decisions they're lying to themselves.

Matthew Tkachuk flat-out said he wouldn't (in part) re-sign in Calgary because he wanted to play in a warmer climate. As an example. Rutherford said himself, Vancouver is not typically on players lists of teams they badly want to go to. They're also in the top half of the league when it comes to travel as well, Vancouver.

Seems like a really high-maintenance kind of kid, but Bo Horvat said he's a really good person, so conflicting messages on him. He's extremely talented but I'd like to see the club move on from him and start fresh.

They absolutely are. It's fun to watch and highly effective. Reminds me of the way playoff Hockey was played 30 years ago, when rosters were constructed a lot differently.

Bo Horvat doesn't say anything other than pleasantries. He'll end up working for Hallmark Cards after his hockey career is over.

The last time Carolina won a game in a conference final was against Buffalo. They've lost 15 games in a row.

Yeah, pretty brutal.
Saw a tweet reminding Carolina that the playoffs are longer than 2 rounds.
