Cute.
I've read multiple times about division in the room. If there are enough stories out there I believe there is some truth to it. You can keep your head buried in the sand but to me, after this season in particular, it's pretty clear everything is not right on the good ship Lollipop.

They listen to Raffi in the room and go to Boston Pizza on Saturday nights.

The division in the room was mainly a result of Miller and his female doging. He forced guys to take sides. Even management has acknowledged that was why they moved him, I don't think there are major issues in the room anymore, Hughes should be able to bring stability now and Petey is going to be significantly better next year.

Who's in the room, now?

I've heard it was more players than just Miller who were pissed off that Pouty showed up a out of shape. Miller was the one who couldn't hide his feelings publicly. They are both idiots who have set the team back years. They got rid of one, now it's time to get rid of the other.

Pretty telling that a coach was planning a trip overseas, in the summer, to check on a players conditioning. They can't get rid of Pouty soon enough and start rebuilding, for the umpteenth time.

I have no idea what happened yesterday, I see a bunch of posters across the board where banned mostly for 3 months, 2 from our group, a few from the Leafs, several in the Flyers, someone went on a rampage. And a locked down Canucks blog.

This is the 1st time I heard this. I honestly can't see it happening based on my experiences in dressing rooms. But I can guarantee if the players have issues with management, there's still issues in the room.

For example, I doubt Hughes is pleased about Rutherford letting the press know he wants to play with his brothers. Petey is another story. After what he helped do to this team over the last 18 months I can't believe people still defend him.

100% - why Rutherford keeps openly saying stuff like that is beyond me. Unless I'm the fool and it's part of a ploy to attract offers for him knowing they were going to let Tocchet walk and perhaps not re-sign Hughes?

It's bizarre. They've kinda got a floating policy for the, "What happens in the room stays in the room", rule. Same with the, "It's foolish to negotiate in the press". They've created their own set of double standards. That never sits well with employees.

Poor Hughes is gonna get blitzed next season everywhere he goes with questions about him wanting out to New Jersey. Anyone with a shred of foresight can see that. So why put it on him?

My theory is that they are self-destructing to say "Fuck you!" to Aquilini for not letting them do the trades they wanted to do.

Reading between the lines of what Rutherford and Allvin said at the season ending presser, Petey did a poor job of communicating to the team how his body was doing last offseason. He was more injured than they knew, and he failed to tell them as much and use the teams resources to correctly address the problem. Now it is up to him to learn his lesson and prepare better this year. You guys are being incredibly dramatic acting like he's destroying the team from within.

Aqua won't sell for less than double what the team is worth due to his divorce, his wife gets half of any proceeds from the team so he'd at least want to get his money's worth if he sells because he has to give his wife half of the price.

She should sue him for meddling and lessoning the value of their joint asset, maybe she can take over control, let her new boy toy run it.

Locked down the Flames thread as well. Doesn’t really matter as there’s only a couple of regular posters there, with LMP coming in to talk crap. I suspect he’s the other banned poster, hence the appearance of SVR.

So much for fixing the lottery. Looks like neither the Flames or Canucks will move up into the top 10

Yes, because a player making 11.6 million dollars that scores 1 goal in the playoffs, and 45 points the following season, is quite beneficial to the team.
Forget that after reffing him and Miller for 2 years, his Coach felt he had to fly to Sweden to check on his fitness, when he could be spending that time and energy focusing on team things. But hey, it's Petey let's give him the benefit of the doubt. He's earned it.

This.
I don't get it.
Seems like JR and PA talk too much.

I read some analyst suggesting the opposite though, that JR is too experienced to accidentally mention anything. Not sure what the end game would be here tho.

You where sure Miller was never getting traded and all the media reports were BS.
Smartest guy in the room.

- Marwood

I'm very rarely sure of anything, once he took himself out of the lineup it was pretty clear things were bad. I was pretty sure the guys on here claiming to know inside info are full of bs, still pretty convinced of that. Media I'm quite compelled to listen to, given it's a journalists job and they get by on reputation. So show me the journalists that are reporting what you're saying, pretty sure you're making stuff up about a player you dont like.
