When your in the zone fish are biting at every little piece of bait you put out there, every lure is a for sure winner and you feel like the king.

When it goes wrong you have to be smart enough to either move on a another spot in the lake or a new lake, change bait, change lures and maybe even give your trolling motor a break.

Some people are smart enough to realize this and adapt.

Some are not.

I can't wait to see Matthews, Nylander, JT, Kines, Stolarz, Pathces, Marner & the rest of the team in round 2 and I have high hopes that they will all be heros and none of them anything less regardless of whatever happened or didn't happen in round 1.

They are the underdogs vs Florida and i think that suits them just fine to be honest & will help them.

Na if we have learned anything it's if you lose in the first round you suck full stop.

Even if you lose in 7 games in round 1 to a team that goes on to the finals or wins a cup if you lose in the first round if you lose you still suck.

I mean that's what Leaf fans have been told by fans of every other team for how long now?

The only time that wasn't the narrative in Toronto was the year they lost to Washington and weren't supposed to even make the playoffs.

Ottawa is way better than they got credit for this year, I think their coach is a big problem and their goalie is also a problem when you factor in what they are paying him but they have a lot of good pieces.

I also think Brady Tkachuk is not going to stay there if they don't have a deep playoff run in the next couple years. I mean he will be 26 at the start of next season and it's probably the worst kept secret in the world that he wants to play with his brother and I don't see any scenario where that happens on a Canadian team.

The one good post that Jewel was making was posting highlights with Bowen calls.

Of course he can't be as consistent with that as his continual hawt wrong takes.

They are already rebuilding the resort on Robidas Island for Patches, Tanev and Tavares. They just need to paint the walls and skim the pool. Occupancy date: 2025-26.

They might also take on a bad contract or two in the off season to recoup some draft capital after July 1st. Robidas Island has been deserted for a couple of year now.

Give Ottawa credit they got back in this year in impressive fashion. I wouldn't have said so at the beginning of the year but they are in the mix in the East now.
