This guy Tanev is an utter beautician. Is there a better value contract in the league? He's just so good.

His shot blocking and positional play is outstanding. He's not overly fast but his ability to keep the opposition to the outside and getting in front of shots makes him unique. I remember Dallas/Minnesota having a guy named Craig Ludwig that was very similar, back in the day.

I didn't realize Tanev set the Leafs franchise record for blocks in a season. The guy has that ability to get beaned a zillion times with the puck and somehow not get hurt. That is a skill and a physical attribute.

Also Auston Matthews was the hardest working player on the ice in the clinching game, that's gonna be a win a lot of times when that's so.

Anytime the Leafs lose a game I wash that jersey I was wearing and sometimes switch to a new one for next game.

I’ve only gone through 2 jerseys so far this year and I’d love to keep it to that.

As STH for the Rock for a number of years (we didn't go this year and it was a good decision because *woof* did they have a bad season) that was the rule - you only wash the jersey if they lose. I don't care if you spilled beer and mustard on it, if they won - you don't wash the jersey.

We've followed the same logic for Team Canada as well.

For the Leafs, I don't like to wear my jersey on game day because I firmly believe the universe hates me and it will make them lose if I wear it. I literally don't wear anything Leaf-related on game day. So I'm doing all of you a favour.

I hope Brandon comes here in the off-season to play with his brother. Between him and Laughton and, ideally he resigns, Lorentz - you'd have a hell of a group of checkers in the bottom-6.

They are already rebuilding the resort on Robidas Island for Patches, Tanev and Tavares. They just need to paint the walls and skim the pool. Occupancy date: 2025-26.

They might also take on a bad contract or two in the off season to recoup some draft capital after July 1st. Robidas Island has been deserted for a couple of year now.

Every time (twice) I wore a jersey last playoffs the leafs lost.
So I havent put one on these playoffs.....yet.
I may try game one......with my black leafs hat.
If they lose game 1.....direct your anger at my JT jersey.
