Impressive - I'm assuming that stat was not including last night? I say that because they have JT with Willy and Homie-berg vs that beautiful big bastard Patches!
Also the Leafs may have a bottom 6 that is as good as if not better than any other team in the playoffs right now - I don't remember when we could last say that. - Cush29
Game ended with Patches and McMann switching spots. Patches scored with Domi/Holmberg. And McMann was good (finally) last night. Stick with this middle six:

The difference with this team is the ability of the 3rd and 4th line to do damage. They don't have to score, they just make sure they don't get scored against and eat up valuable minutes. It keeps the top 2 lines fresher, not having to play 23 minutes a night. The defense seems quite set as well. You know what you're getting with all 3 pairings. Their only deficiencies are focus and sometimes lazy backchecking on the forwards. Many of their winning goals came from players that weren't expected to be the hero's. Willy doesn't get the empty net goal, without Laughton making the shot block. Patches doesn't score the winner without Domi's pass. Two overtime winners from unexpected sources. The Leafs haven't really had that, the last few years in the playoffs. It also doesn't hurt having a goaltender that makes key saves and doesn't give up a soft goal. Can the Leafs beat Florida? Yes, but there can't be passengers or taking games off, like game 5 in this series. - PrinceLH
This is true. The ice time dispersal is sooo much different from years past.

McMann just needs to skate and skate hard. When he uses his speed he's a handful. When he doesn't he's invisible. - fifty__missions
Agreed - you would think he would want to skate your bag off knowing if he doesn't he will have to come back to the bench and have to face an angry Berube! lol
If I was an Ontarian hockey fan I'd be at least a bit worried that I should have picked the Leafs. Which, think about that, what a statement that is in sports. Like WOW you are in a rough spot when that's so.

I know this isn’t the case, but it almost seems like the Leafs are trying to not burn themselves out and save some energy for the later rounds. Also maybe trying to avoid injuries.
McMann just looks off. I say give him game one off, go back to wainwright for spring calving season or whatever tf they do this time of year and let Nicky Bobby zip around out there at full speed.
