One good thing. We are now perceived as underdogs against Florida. Less pressure on the Leafs, even-though we have home ice. One game at a time. Just work the next series into a long series and hope for some bounces. Florida seems invincible right now, but having a few days off might take some of their momentum away. Win game 1, there's a chance to win the series. If they find a way past Florida, the sky's the limit. The Metro isn't as tough as the Atlantic. Every team in the Atlantic earned their way into the playoffs. If it would have been a single conference, Ottawa would have been 3rd in the Metro. The Atlantic over the last 7 years has been a stacked division, with the two Florida teams, Toronto and Boston. Ottawa now moves into that position. They can't be discounted with the talent they have. Their experience this year, will catapult them into a contender in the Atlantic. Maybe Tampa becomes the next Boston that will be forced to retool after a number of years having deep playoff runs. The Habs too will be a handful, but they're a year or two behind the Sens in their development. Now is our time to make a run at the finals and hope to win it all. |

William Nykander was the MVP.
Patches and Laughton a close 2nd.
Captain underpants 3rd but his post game interview was pretty good. He seemed so nonchalant about having won a series.
I was a bit surprised at how subdued the series win celly was.
That being said I LOVED the nonchalant and subdued Celly so much. |

Oh you did show up. Credit to you.
I thought last night you said this series was over and you were already making trades? You even said you didn't think they stood any chance against Florida and now as division champions you claim to be some underdog? Leafs have as good a chance as any. They played Florida well in the regular season and Ekblad is out again at least for game 1.

Benoit unsung hero. And Holmberg played really well too, even if he's not contributing on the scoresheet, I saw some viscous chihuahua pounces on loose pucks, cutting off the wall, just getting in there and being in the right place. |

Just ignore AA. He's trying to make the conversation about himself and his stupid takes.
Just like I'm awaiting Prince and Rare Jewel to tell me how good the sens are and how this wasn't over. (frank)ing cowards. - Aaron_85

Pull games 1-4 out of those stats and come report back. Actually don’t bother there is no need to feed the Willy vs Nylander debate.
Be happy they won and move on. |

Tampa looked like gold until they ran into that buzzsaw in Florida. That team has been to the Finals 2 years in a row and doesn't look like they're ready to slide down in the standings. The Leafs do have an issue with concentration, at times. That would be a killer when they run into the wrong team. Florida is that kind of team. So they need to be ready for a tough series. Tampa got the living daylights kicked out of them against Florida. We really are an under-dog in this next series.

Marner does all the little things right so guys like Willy can have success.
Willy did have a good game tho.
He only floated around when he was tired, not just without the puck. |

I was talking about our clutch playoff performer Nylander. I cannot imagine Willie’s stats if he had 2 beasts like Matthews and Knies winning puck battles for him and creating space. Tavares does a decent job of that though |

Ok random Sens fan who decides to come into the Toronto blog and get offended that Leaf fans are poop talking the Sens.
lol
I’m sure there is no negative chatter about any Leafs player over in the Ottawa blog.
