I’ll tell you one thing about missing the playoffs. It makes me realize how equally insufferable every fanbase in regards to complaining about officiating and opponents being “dirty”

Florida complaining? Get (frank)ed
Tampa complaining? Take a hike losers
Toronto complaining? Ok bozos

I’m sure I’ll still be one of those bozos whenever we’re back in the playoffs

This would be the ultimate retread of retread's lol.

Next thing you know, they'll hire Lundqvist, Girardi, Boyle and Callahan in some capacity to the staff.

- aecliptic

Id be cool with Torts rejoining the org but idk about coaching. Rangers are most likely going to be one of the 10 youngest teams next season, developing players needs to be prioritized over short term success. I think Callahan and Girardi would be awesome assistant's tbh.

...and if they manage to get rid of Kreider, Panarin and Zib... it will probably be top 5.

I have no idea what whether either of those guys would be decent coaches, but I wouldn't have a problem with exposing our youth to their passion and commitment to their team in some capacity!

If we could somehow turn...

Kreider into a 2nd
Panarin (salary retained) into a 1st and a top 9 roster player, while also signing Marner
Zib into a late 1st round pick (salary retained) (Using the Hertl deal as a reference point since theyre similar in age)

That, for the overall health and longevity of this team moving forward, would be the best situation.

Run a top line of LAF, Miller, Marner... if LAF cant find his footing with those 2, then he needs to go.

And this is the team Drury is building NOW. You refuse to see it 🤷🏻‍♂️ you won’t let go of the past

Now he needs to hire a North South coach

- Slimtj100

Who has he added, aside from Miller that is tough? This defense is tissue paper, its you who refuses to see it.

You escalate it lol this is a pivotal summer, just let him cook for once.
- Slimtj100

He has been cooking for over 4 years now and will be hiring his third coach, where is the genius of instability???

Ok dude I can’t do this everyday with you. I’m taking the summer off of here. I’m sure Brukie will be on the attack next. I was just trying to have a pleasant conversation, and it’s impossible.

Cheers gentlemen

Copp and Wennberg helped them get to the ECF. Not bad trades at all. When you are trying to win you go for it. And JT Miller trade counts lol. You can’t just change the rules cause Drury made a great trade
- TPC

Unless you win it all, they are bad trades, Im sorry the prize is the Cup not making to the ECF.

Sorry. Second place is the first loser.

It’s why I am going to be unbearable around here if the rangers get back into contention next year with Drury leading the way. The haters made it clear this is his fault. So if he fixes the roster and they are good again he gets all the credit
- TPC

Wanna bet you wont have to be unbearable??

I think since everybody who posts here does so nearly every single day, we all know this stuff

You didn’t need to devote your Saturday night to typing this all out.

Yet again.

If the Rangers dont get in the playoffs next year, Drury either gets fired or removed as GM next year, contract extension be damned.
- aecliptic

Everyone wants to keep saying the Rangers will be better next season but I gotta say, the Habs and Sens are serious playoff contenders, they are really playing well. Jackets and Wings are next up, sooner or later the Sabres will make a playoff push too. I dont see an easy path to the playoffs next year.

Now that would be a big roster turnover and pretty reasonable. Marner would be a good replacement for Panarin.

Its also up to the players, they both have NMC, if Drury pulls them both off, Id apologize to TJ everyday for a month straight.

The senators are one game away from elimination. Based on your logic anything other than a cup is a loser so how are they serious playoff contenders? The rangers made the ECF 2 of the last 3 years and you said they are just losers lol. The jackets wings and Sabres finished worse than the rangers. This doesn’t make any sense

I think the issue is its a year after year of mortgaging picks without a Cup. If it was a one off thing, I dont think it would be as much of an issue.

You dont see it? FFS. Sens, Habs and Jackets started their rebuilds around the same time as the Rangers its just that the Rangers had signed Panarin, Igor and Fox. Those teams with the young players will continue to improve and NOW add some veteran players. Wings who knows, Sabres have to make it one day.

The question is can the Rangers now retool on the fly? Can they shed some players and add some youth and more grit players? We will soon see.

I am going based on your logic. You said anyone who doesn't win the cup is just a loser. None of these teams have won anything. Hell most haven't been in the playoffs in years. But now they are serious contenders based on your logic because they can improve but the Rangers can't? I am just using your logic to try to figure it out. Sabres haven't made the playoffs in 14 years. But they have to make it one day? That just isn't an argument

I dont believe in the logic that were losers. Majority of teams in contention makes moves. However you can argue theres been a lot of overpayment for the return. Also I feel like many moves were reactive and not proactive. The Kane move was just straight up dumb as well as trading for Reilly Smith.

I know you only see it thru Ranger glasses but those teams did a true bottom up rebuild, they were bad a long time and have been getting better and better every year, the Rangers started to rebuild then went out and signed FA, had some success and then started to trade away picks again to chase it. Now we miss the playoffs and had a terrible year. Young teams do that ie: the Devils veteran teams that are serious Cup contenders shouldnt.

Now I didnt say Cup contenders, I said playoff contenders, HUGE difference.

Yes I think if you dont win, you lose. Whats so wrong with that logic?

Yes sooner or later, the Sabres with their talent will figure it out, it is when not if.

So are you saying we lost those trades?
