First of all, I’ve made it very clear I wouldn’t be paying a goalie $11 million dollars.

I’d also get rid of Panarin and his $11 million or Fox’s $9+ million.

We also didn’t have Miller and his $8 million when he made these moves and then traded for Smith.

Drury is the one that signed and gave Goodrow his NTC. Don’t forget that little bit of information.

The answer is Will Cuylle. That’s who we would lose if Trouba and Goodrow were here

Imagine we didn’t have Shesty? He had us by the balls

You're fixated on the players lost, when if you listened to Joe, it wasnt entirely about just the players. How was equally important.

Again, as Ive said before about my concerns, if youre a professional hockey player, after seeing how Drury approached and handled those situations... how confident and secure do you feel signing a contract with the Rangers?

Hockey players understand the business part. I mean in season 3 guys signed lol

He also got rid of guys who sucked. The charts people goo goo gaga over said so

Sure, people need jobs also. Doesnt mean youre gonna get the pick of the litter, but we will see how the offseason plays out. I expect them to sign Dumoulin, but that will be all Sully.

I think once next year starts we will quickly forget this year happen.

Schneider Fox
Miller Borgen

I think this could be the top 4. I read something where they may try Schneider with Fox. It’s not like these guys are playing in a straight jacket on their off side. Guys can do it

Is this roster, as currently built a playoff team? Yes.

Are we a cup contender? Depends if the young kids step up, Cuylle Laf Othmann etc.

Heres my stupid trade for the night...

Fox + LAF + a couple prospects + a couple 3rd round picks for Peterka, Byram, Tuch

Then trade KAM for Kesselring, RD for LD, Utah doesnt really have strong depth at LD.

Sign Dumoulin.

Panarin is a much harder move. Its a massive contract, a team has to want him, a team has to have space and he has to want to go to that team.

Who do we lose? Don’t evade the question, it’s pertinent to the conversation
- Slimtj100

The team lost the season, they lost a chance to compete for a Cup. This isnt going to be a quick fix.

He could have waited till this off season to unload Goody and Trouba. He could have done the same thing.

In hindsight, after the way Laffy played, is anyone going to give him an offer sheet?

Uh, he cant be offer sheeted. Unless you mean jumping the gun to sign him wasnt necessary.

The offer sheet everyone is worried about is Cuylle.

Hm, would we welcome back Erik Gustafsson in a trade with DET? Hes one of those anomaly players that care here and had quite good chemistry with the team. Him and Borgen could be a pretty good pairing. Would replace Soucy.

This is still a bottom 10-12 top 4 defensive personnel . Maybe Sullivans system makes it better

Signing him mid season wasnt necessary. I think Drury did the signings to quell the up rising in the locker room. Especially Igors

So apparently theres an impasse in Buffalo with Peterka. JJ wants term, Buffalo wants bridge. If Drury wants to start picking up the pieces after last seasons disaster, also knowing how much he loves Peterka, he needs to be all over this.

I think this team is a bit better at middle of the pack 15-20. Its because of Igor.

We will see what happens over the summer to come up with a real idea of what this team will look like. Will there be any major, unexpected changes in personal? Aside from moving on from CK20?

Im not really that excited with Sully, he was head coach of one team and on a team with Crosby, Malkin and Letang, and has only won one round in the past 8 years since winning the Cup.

With Drury hiring Sully, it was more like hiring a buddy to do a job.

We will see.

Would be an expensive addition. 12 OA+ probably Othmann+.

I was thinking if Zib wanted to play hardball he’d be like ok trade me to Carolina

Zib isn’t a cap dump lol he’s still a good player you guys just hate everything about him for some reason. He was a PPG for the last 33 games 🤷🏻‍♂️ but whatever. I also think his two years with Lavy made him a lesser player so maybe Sullivan changes that again if he’s here

- Slimtj100

He's just not a Brind'amour type player, honestly.

At least the worst is over unless you think like Brukie
