Watching the Avs games, he hasnt been all that impressive there either but I dont think hes a good enough skater to play the way they play.

For sure. People hate on Borgen, but he’s a pretty physical guy and can chip in at half the price of Ekblad. Hopefully a healthy Schneider can do more of that next season as well. Beyond that our D is extremely soft.

I think its absolutely crucial that Schneider takes that next step. The one thing that we've only seen a glimmer of is his offensive game. We've all watched enough games where I think we all have seen him make some really nifty plays and drives to the net. However what I remember from his draft scouting report is he supposedly possessed a hard and heavy shot which I have yet to see. I dont know what it is, it kind of feels like hes either being held back or hes holding himself back.

Injuries definitely killed his season and he has too much pride to shut himself down and recuperate which hurt the team. IF he can get healthy I wouldn't mind him staying and being a leader on this team even if it means missing the start of the season. Unfortunately I don't think he retires a Ranger.
