Sounds boring..focus more on the Sens down 3 - 0 please. Everyone has a better than Ek story, get in line, know your role and remind yourself you're public hairs are longer than the give a (frank) a list of whatever you have to say.

Fine fine fine

But there isn't much more to say aside of Toronto > Ottawa

On paper, in real life, offense, defense, goalies, coach, mascot

The Bad

Not scoring or holding leads. I think Green's system is a point killer
Outplaying but not finishing
Predictable passes - even on the PP before Giroux goal
Brady Tkachuk - amazing player but looks injured

The Good

Fabian Zetterlund & Tyler Kleven have been amazing !!
Adam Gaudette deserves to be resigned
Linus Ullmark has been MUCH better since game 1
Fans !!! Amazing in game 3

Ugggh. That was heartbreaking. So many shot attempts either wide or swallowed up by shot blockers.

They needed the lead in the first after outplaying them the whole period.

Not much to say on the ot winner, another quick face off win in the back of the net.

Not much hope now, but win Saturday and see what happens.

Really is.

I'm not going to say that Ottawa "deserves to win this series" but here's how it is objectively: Leafs were the much better team in game 1 and deserved the win. Game 2, Sens played really well for more often in the game but leafs were opportunistic. Game 3, again Ottawa looks like the better team overall but leafs showing signs of growth and compete in the playoffs (small plays, goaltending much improved). Penalties have been horrible on both sides. Overall the series should be 1-1 or 2-1 after game 3. No way should be 3-0 and Sens should be capitalizing on their chances much more, and their not able to generate the type of offence from some of their rushes the way Toronto does - which makes it feel like Sens have to work that much harder to get AND HOLD the lead. I wanted game 3 to be a decisive victory!

- AlfieisKing

Leafs dominated game 1 start to finish
Game 2 - the Sens were the better team in the 2nd period but overall the leafs were better
Game 3 - neither team was that much better than the other, it was back and forth
The past two games the refs have done their best to help the sens though.

Anywho, onto to the next game. We'll see what happens.

Okay, you guys can have this viewpoint, but you can't also say that Sens fans are the ones who whine about officiating, which you guys do in your threads, a lot.

Pick one.

I don't know this Yan you are talking about and I know nothing about him being perma-banned from HB for posting some code that made little eklund heads raining all over the site and therefore made HB lose sponsors

Yeah, not a lot of BS in the presser.

Green’s post game pressers were beginning to sound a lot like Vignault ala 2011. Game 3 presser was much better. Good on him for that.

Shot block and counterattack….Working well for the Leafs so far. How the leafs respond in games 4 (and 5 if there is one) will say alot about how this team has learned from the past and adopted Berubes system.

The issue is that your team has consistently been at or near the top of the league for PP opportunities for several seasons now, plus you have a notorious diver on your team in Stutzle, so the complaining in game 1 seemed to be over the top, kind of like Musk complaining about Tesla's stock tanking... boo hoo, poor lil rich boy.

On the flip-side, the Leafs have consistently been at or near the bottom of the league in opportunities for close to a decade, so we have good reason to gripe about it... like the last two games which somehow, magically, ended up with lopsided calls.

Sparty is awesome. Kia ads confirm it.

A moral victory, I know.

Watched the last 2 games, some general Ottawa coaching blunders I noticed, which serve Toronto's style:

1. Overabundant hitting: Not intimidating nor impacting opponent
2. No effective cross ice passes: Almost necessary based on goaltending style
3. No driving the net: Puck carriers always cutting and cycling to the outside
4. Perimiter play: No net front presence or flanking
5. Shot selection: Shots are low risk, easily blocked or saved

Its seems Green is coaching the game precisely how Toronto wants. To the uneducated it may appears the Sens have play advantage (corsi), but Green has played/coached long enough to know almost the entire game is being played to Berube's whim.

Game 3

First period SOG favoured Ott 8-7

Second period SOG were 6-0 in favour of Ott for first 9 mins

That’s Ott leading SOG 14-7 for first 19 mins.

Last 21 mins of regular time play + 1:19 of OT SOG favoured Leafs 13-6

Ott had 4 PP opportunities to Leaf’s 2 including a 2 man advantage.

In conclusion both teams played even for 20 mins. Sens dominated (thanks to a 5 on 3 PP) for 9 mins. Leafs dominated remaining 22:19 mins.

Complaining about the Refs is one thing. Saying it's why you didn't win a game is another thing, or excusing your team of losing.

I mean it unites all fans of the hockey to agree the refs are inconsistent and it (frank)ing sucks when it's against your team.

Not to get too into the weeds of that topic but man I hate the idea refs do make up calls or try to "manage" the game or even things out.

Officiating has been bad every game for both teams.

The good teams overcome bad officiating and right now that’s what the leafs are doing.

Every fanbase of every sport in every corner of the earth whines about the officiating, and swears that the league has a secret plan to make their team lose.

It's all B.S., unless you are playing the Bruins. Then everything is true.

Leafs are doing a lot of good things that we can’t seem to match:

-Winning faceoffs and it’s not even close (probably scored 4-5g off faceoff wins)
- blocking a ton of shots from our dmen
- capitalizing on their pp…capitalizing on our pk
-boxing out/ preventing secondary chances from Stolarz
-opportunistic goals
- Stolarz outplaying ullmark
- core4 outplaying our best players
-depth scoring

I feel the games have been very close…a bounce here or there could’ve swung things differently at any given moment.

Gotta tip the hat…I can’t possibly walk out this series thus far feeling the Sens have been wronged..they’re simply not doing enough and they’re facing a team that’s better polished and prepared.
