Guess we know one of the many excuses the Sens fans will use once they're eliminated. - Scabeh
It will be this, officiating (as laughable as that is) with a healthy dose of "first time in the playoffs for so many guys, kids are learning and it was a great experience, next year they will be better" and that type of garbage.
Sens fans love to tout the "next year is our year" just as much as Leaf nation. lol

Are you serious rn?
This is safety issue? - Tanooki
Edit: after seeing the video, ignore everything I wrote.
This is a non-story.
It actually is a safety issue.
There's no refs on the ice during warmups.
So if a team does something this stupid, and there's a brawl because of it, you're going to have a Punch Up in Piestany incident.
I'm curious as to what the league does here - my guess is that they will come down hard on the Senators - harder than most people are expecting.
If they don't, why wouldn't every team do it? |

Another weird observation:
We've had two overtimes.
Less than 5 minutes of total play. - Atomic Wedgie
Whatever you do, (if you're a Sens fan), don't look at how long it took the Leafs to score their 5 PP goals this series.

Will "we would have won if the league hadn't suspended Tkachuk for shooting pucks at the Leafs' goalie in warmup" be one of them? - Atomic Wedgie
So far it appears to be Nick Cousins (but they are saying others being looked at).
This video sucks and I'm hoping there is more / better video later because I don't even see the puck in it but the stories I've read so far all talk about the Sens "lobbing" pucks despite the Drama Queen Darren Dregger saying pucks were "fired" at Stolarz....Dregger is such a loser. lol

Yeah, OK, this is not what I was led to believe.
I still think the league will put out a tiny fine, just to say they did something, but this is a complete non-story.

The main TSN1200 guys have kind of fallen off it, but Frankie Corrado is all in on the collapse. I think this has been a really good series. A bit boring because the Leafs just play that way with a lead now, but it's a great chess game. I doubt the Leafs sweep, but I also don't think the Sens have a historic comeback in them...but then again I guess all of us thought that Canadian Division win was in the bag...
I find the dialogue around this series kind of strange because the Core-5 are finally doing it on the stats sheet, but they are still underperforming pooplords who suck?
I mean, they aren't MacKinnon, McDavid or Kaprizov scoring like 3.5 PPG or something stupid, but they're finally doing what we all hoped. - AdamFrench
Usually the early games in a series is where the core 4 have done well, its the later games where some (Matthews and marner) have falling off.
But so far:
Marner - 6pts - 1 goal
Matthews - 5pts - 1 goal
Nylander- 4pts - 1 goal
Tavares- 4pts - 2 goals
I would have liked Matthews to have scored a couple of goals by now, but the series isnt over and he's really only off by 1 goal. Lol
However, their stats are pretty good, hope they keep it up.

It is THE difference for Toronto so far, their stars are producing.
As long as they do, Leafs will be difficult to beat.

Isn't there a noticeable drop in their production in potential series clinching games? Welp, they'll have potentially a few games coming up to turn that trend around. I beLeaf. |

Agreed it can be a safety issue but it appears to be minor (unless more video comes out showing something different).
Anyone remember the 1987 Phiily / Habs pre game warm up brawl where Shane Corson came back onto the ice to shoot a puck in the Philly net? I saw an interview one time with Mike Keenan who said they had the trainers or someone physically have to lock Ron Hextall into some type of an equipment room or something so he didn't go back out onto the ice that maniac! lol
https://youtu.be/v6YX5vFUTeQ?si=yHcZF4KTtVGrb3hM
It's a total unsportsmanlike like move for sure and even if the puck isn't shot hard putting pucks intentionally across to the other team's side is a safety issue because it's a tripping hazard as no player is expecting a puck to come from that direction in warm ups.
imagine if a player slipped on a puck the Sens shot over the line and had a high ankle sprain? Imagine if it was a top player? So bush league and stupid. |

I said this in the devil thread and I'll say it here. It's refreshing to not be outcoached in the playoffs for once. Green is absolutely getting dummied except for getting more penalties drawn since game 1. |
