Not as far as I know.

Carrier got really banged up last game, on two different occasions... which really sucks because he's an important piece of that D squad.

There was so many possible calls to make on that hit.
Charging
Hit to the head
Blow the play dead once the puck got back into the defensive zone because a player was obviously injured.
They went with: Just let the play continue and offer à 3 on 2 to the other team because a defenseman is barely skating back to his bench.
Un(frank)ingbelievable.

oh that second time was the devastating one for sure, don't think it's been confirmed but I'm 99% sure he had a concussion, he was already recovering from one not long before he was traded to the habs. hopefully he'll be ok, even if he doesn't come back in this series, concussions can be a mother (frank)er. |

what I hate is that if he had stayed down laying on the ice the consequences would've probably been more severe, the injury/how badly the player got hurt is what determines everything, not the gesture.

he didn't look too good skating to the bench either. i kind of wish he'd stayed down. maybe they'd have blown play dead if he stayed down but your instinct is to get back up when you get knocked down. |

He'll have the Summer to heal from it. Don't think we'll see him again until next season. |

yeah, what worries me a bit is that once you start having multiple concussions, you can become more prone to having them and the symptoms can get more significant. that can vary a lot from one individual to another, so hopefully he'll be fine and recover 100% for next year. trying to come back in this series now would probably be a bad idea.

I'm just glad its not the conservative for
A) the way they usually threat the environment issues
B) not to be back to the way Harper slashed every research program
its time to scoop great minds running away from the US dictator !

personally I have very little respect for anyone who whines about everything being "woke", especially in a political context lol. |

Meh, I think if you take a step back and understand what everyone worries about or what bothers them instead of focusing on semantics, you end up realizing even the people you completlely disagree them aren't complete idiots.
But that's just me.
That, of course, excludes anyone that grew up in Montreal but is somehow cheering for the Bruins, (frank) these guys.

yeah, for me the term "woke" goes way beyond semantics, so I completely disagree on this. to be honest I probably shouldn't even bring up this kind of thing in this thread, it's as though I never learn lol.

Well considering many don't even have the same definition of the term, I'd say semantics are pretty damn important when discussing it. You don't think so?

that's the thing, the term is just a meaningless word mostly used by conservatives and many right-wing groups to identify and whine about anything they disagree with, as though "woke people" were a homogenous group that had a specific ideology shared by everyone in it. it's just completely ridiculous to me. |
