precious learning experience for the group. and for the gm!

I know you probably won't ever like him, but it's a learning experience for St. Louis as well lol... for a guy who's coaching for the first time in the playoffs I find he's been doing a great job and is definitely not to blame for the losses.

anyway, this is the youngest team to ever make it to the post-season, and they sure aren't making things easy for the #1 seed in the East, so as a habs fan there's nothing to be ashamed about their performances so far imho.

He could have sold at the deadline and this team would have missed the playoffs. It was the right call. No need to buy, just dont sell.

an easy thing to fix for next season would be the 13th forward. It should not be that hard to improve from Pezetta. Once Heineman got run by a god damn car, Pezetta got into the line up and the team was a mess. I like Heineman but he is not Mcjesus or Crosby either.

There is still a game coming up and what they say is the 4th win is the hardest to get. Make them work for it, is all I ask.

Carrier getting lit up changed this game. You have got to have your head up at all times with that rat Wilson on the ice.

They were cruising until that happened. Playing with speed and keeping the Caps outside. I despise Wilson, but that hit was a bone crushing, momentum swinging clean hit.

- Habsolute009

Yeah that was the momemtum changer right there, Carrier had to go change, they scored on that and looked like the whole team felt that hit.

I agree!

I think even a guy like Xhekaj learned how he needs to play if he wants to stay in the lineup.

If he plays solid D like this always, he brings more to the team than Struble I think.

if Carrier is out we'll probably see Struble again, and while he didn't look bad I'm sure he's aware he needs to bring it up a notch in terms of physicality, we all know he can do better in that department, which would help a lot with all the bullpoop going on on the ice.

Maybe, I was wondering if they call up Reinbacher to play on the right.

Might not be a good idea to put him in against the Caps, he's made of glass.

I think they're being extra cautious with him in Laval, but if he's made of glass as you're saying they might as well just (frank)ing trade him now.

We could have had Michkov and Demidov but no, Symba was worrying about some trivial thing like his dad floating in a river.

What I like the most with the playoffs this year is the way it shows us how you can’t win a cup when your team is built with small guys like our core…

management will need to take that into account n coming years if they want to win anything…

Caufield, Hutson, Demidov and Suzuki are great but we may need to sacrifice couple of them to bring tougher guys who can play hockey…

I don't agree.

I think it proves that you need more than 1 line. They are losing because they don't have a second line that chips in that extra goal.

So we agree the Habs would already have won the series if not for poor reffing right?

they are a very young team, no experience for half the team. It's still a team in development with key pieces not ready for the big show yet. This team was not expected to make the playoffs considering where they are in their rebuild.

Young guys are learning...a few recently drafted players will join the team again next year, they will still be very young and inexperienced next season.

They are rapidly improving but we have to give the young guys time to develop.

Well the young guys are playing very well!

Newhook is trying his best and skating but it's clear that he's not a 2nd line center.

You know who I'd be willing to try at center? Slaf.

Big guy, good skater, good playmaker, he's engaged in the defense.

So you'd have something like :

Caufield - Suz - Demidov
Laine - Slaf - Dach

he might not be a defensive liability but I don't see Slaf as a centreman, it's perfect for him on the wing where he can use his physicality without having to bother with any additional responsibilities.

Maybe I was just thinking the other day when we were discussing if Demidov could play center.

I was thinking Slaf could be our Getzlaf whitout the male pattern baldness

the plan is surely to acquire a centreman during the summer but between Slaf and Demidov, the latter would probably be better suited for the position with his superior playmaking abilities.

Agree it would have to be through a trade and I think one or both of Reinbacher and Mailloux need to make the team next year it is clear we lack size and toughness on D
