I wasn’t worried at any point during the game last night. Which is odd for me. I had a weird sense of calm and leafs have this. Hopefully that continues.

Me too Bryant. My face and head had a healthy hue instead of the Bruce Boudreau beet red. My wife didn’t even have to threaten to switch the channel because of my pending cardiac event.

My only complaint with watching the game at a bar is you end up drinking to much and talking vs watching every play.

I’ll never go out for a game 7 or something. I need to be at a house fully engaged. I don’t care if we have a couple guys over that are big fans but I like to watch it in that type of atmosphere.

5000% true. which is why you never go with more than one other person. that knows when to stfu

I admit I was very worried in the first 5 minutes. We were flat, they were bringing it.

Almost every talking head on the radio today talking Ottawa up. You would think the Leafs laid a giant egg last night. The standard jist I heard today was Ottawa was bad because of nerves and when they sort their game out in Game 2 the Leafs are in trouble.

Maybe I am a homer but the Leafs primary issue over the playoffs has been power play and goal scoring. Both were clicking last night.

Ottawa has some chances but I would say the play was about even and the Leafs grade A chances were better than the Sens and our goalie made saves and theirs didn't.

They are just hedging for Wednesday morning articles to claim they were right. If you didn't know any better there's some posters here you'd swear were leaf media

Considering how many times he thrown the weight for his career it is pretty remarkable he can still do it.

Jets give up trying goal with 0.8 seconds left in the first period.

On a clean shot Hellebuyck just missed. Woof.

Oh man, he’s a 240lb human truck.

His primary differences since the beginning of his career?

1: his increased amount of wisdom
2: his increased amount of grey hair lol

He is heavy weight machine. I watched him playing soccer a few years ago, he looked like big and fat alligator with enormous legs size.

His leg size is likely the size of the average torso lol

And the caps score again…. The habs might challenge this tho…and nope they don’t

Yes, pretty much. I hoped for more even game, but it is too much for Habs to handle.
We were in Washington few years ago and went to arena's museum. It was no Caps games then, but still it was very interesting to see how much Ovie did for this franchise.
Switching to Winnipeg game.

I’m curious if this will be a wake up game or a sign of how the series will turn out.

I think I’ll flip to that game as well.

I think it will be very short series, 4 or max 5 games.
Caps have way better team and it shows.

Well, I’ll never predict, that’s when a goalie will get hot out of nowhere, but yeah I totally get what you’re saying.

I almost never can predict results, way more often wrong than right, but this one seems too obvious.
Would be funny if I still wrong again.
That's what I learn with years, never try to predict who wins in playoffs, too many factors you can possibly know about.

So I went and checked on ticket prices for tomorrow night on Ticketmaster.

For some inexplicable reason, it no longer sorts the ticket selections by price. It's just completely random, and you have to scroll through.

There is no worse user experience than Ticketmaster.

whew at least I know it's not me. I don't think Spatso comes here. And the Leafs won so he'll have to hold off on posting.

Oh I never bother trusting my guesses lol

It’s silly but I do hope 4 of the 5 Canadian teams win the first round this year, I’ll decide my second round calls once appropriate

It is not silly at all. Personally I have no preferences or plan B.
I am rooting in playoffs for Leafs only and when they out I don't care who wins after all. Never watching Cup celebration either, shutting down TV at the last moment before final whistle. Once Leafs out I have no mood for any other team.
Still watching, but not investing emotionally.
