It’s country music, not rap, which is why I posted it. I was surprised because it sounded ok. Wasn’t what I was expecting from him. - Shuswap Wap

Lots of good stuff on X from the Rutherford/Allvin interviews today.
"This is not something that Elias Pettersson is going to be able to snap his fingers and change," says Rutherford.
"Everyone is aware that because of injury or whatever reasons, Pettersson wasn't prepared properly for camp+the start of the season. That became one of the issues."
I hope that entitled, selfish, little pr!ck gets traded this summer!! |

"We would like to extend him," says Jim Rutherford of Thatcher Demko.
"It's a fools game to negotiate publicly, but it's going to be a matter of how much risk the team is willing to take and how much risk is he willing to take, as to the term of his contract." #Canucks |

"It'll be expensive," says Jim Rutherford of trading for a top-six centreman this summer. "But it'll also be very expensive not to get one."
Strongly seems to suggest that just about everything will be on the table. #Canucks
Tom Willander is so getting traded!! He doesn't want to be part of the organization, I would assume.
"Allvin says Tom Willander’s intention at this point is to go back to college" |

"We ran into an unfortunate incident in the first half of the season that hurt the chemistry of the team," says Jim Rutherford.
He says it forced them to make a trade they didn't want to make.
"We went from a contending team to a team in transition."

I have no issues with Marwood, we get into it from time to time but I have no issues with him, or anyone else on here. I just don't take anything that's said on here to heart, it doesn't mean anything to me, just a place to BS about hockey and stir up some crap. It got to the point where I was spending too much time on here though, it became wasteful time, thus I won't be around as much as I used to be. |

"It may not boil down to money for him. He's said before, he wants to play with his brothers," says Rutherford about Quinn Hughes.
"This franchise cannot afford to lose a guy like Quinn Hughes and we will do everything we can to keep him here."
“He (Quinn Hughes) has said before he wants to play with his brothers. That would be partly out of our control. In our control if we brought his brothers here.” - Jim Rutherford

Rutherford re Petey: “He’s gonna have to buy into being a complete player. He’s going to have to buy into working hard… He’s going to have to do that all summer and he’s going to have to buy into what the coach wants him to.” Says he has been in the building in recent weeks and has been working hard. |

#Canucks Allvin refuses to say they 100% won't trade Pettersson before July 1.
"I would be stupid not to keep my options open." |

Could you imagine all 3 Hughes brothers on the Canucks, and all 3 injured at the same time,
Anyway, Rutherford just gave New Jersey Hughes, easier for them to wait out another disastrous year with him in Vancouver. |

Fcuks sake.
Can’t even do a press conference right.
I appreciate the honesty from mgmt, but Jfc it sure feels like we’re letting Toc go, keeping EP40 and forecasting losing Hughes.
Oh. And seemingly fumbling the bag with our top prospect.
Oof.
Oops. Responded to wrong post. |

Thigs are rosy in Canuckland, Pouty is going to work hard this off-season and return to when he had 2 fairly productive seasons, Hughes will be happy, because the team is on the cusp of something, Tocchet is gladly going to re-sign as coach, Tom Willandeer is going to sign, after 1 more season in school and most importantly, Rutherford and Allvin will continue on with the great management decisions. |

From the clips I've watched, that press conference was a flaming train wreck. New Jersey's lawyers should be pretty busy right now, too.
This is going to be a fascinating off season. |

Sounds like Petey's contract and being in poor shape to start the year ate Miller up pretty bad, he couldn't get over it and wouldn't let it go. He became angry with the entire organization, and even had it out with a video coach. Then it filtered into the rest of the room, where guys took sides....what a mess this organization is - always!! |

It starts at the top, enough blame to go around for everyone. Really too bad, as the Canucks were onto something the season before. Going to be some great conversations around the campfire on those fishing trips. |
