It's a reality of the situation of the team. If the team isn't turning it around next year by the TDL, management has to seriously consider maximizing it's biggest trade chip if Hughes has made it clear he will walk at the end of his deal.
It's a big offseason for Allvin and Co. Basically the fate of their franchise player rests on it. - NewYorkNuck
If Hughes has already indicated that he wants to play with his brothers, according to Rutherford, then it is definitely something the Canucks have to consider. The team doesn't have the assets to to trade for his brother's, in my opinion.
They have traded away or are not re-signing players that Quinn has been close to, which could turn into him being quite unhappy in Vancouver. |

I watched the Dallas/Colorado game last night, damn those Stars are good, they can play any style of game too. They don't outwardly project superstar power within their lineup, but they've got some great talent there.
Miro Heiskanen and Jason Robertson haven't even played yet either. |

Mr. Kincade...dude, you just need to let go, it's ok, you'll be ok without them. You're clinging on like an abused spouse, it's getting cringe worthy - |

Just let go, you'll be happier in the long run!! |

I am really liking Columbus and Anaheim, so just maybe they will grow more in my heart, like the Canucks did when I was a kid. |

I really like how Columbus made some huge gains this year as an organization. They've got some nice young players there. This summer I think they have the bullets to pull off a move that could advance them further. Fantilli had a great year, as did Johnson and Marchenko.
I'm hoping the Flyers can have two good NHL drafts here (25&26) and start to make some progress internally. Really pumped now that Tortorella is gone. I like the direction they're headed in!!
They also have their own practise facility. |

Werenski also had a great season. Can see both Columbus and Anaheim making some upgrades this off-season.
Apparently, the Canucks are the only NHL team without their own practice facility. |

Apparently it's a point of contention for Tocchet, too.
"According to Friedman, one of Tocchet’s concerns about staying with the organization is the lack of a practice facility. Vancouver is the only team in the NHL without its own practice rink.
“I would understand that,” Friedman said. “I think if you’re the one team that doesn’t have one and the nights where your main rink is not available, and you kind of have to go into a public rink. It’s a little bit different. I could see why that would drive a coach crazy.”" |

Didn't the new Vancouver team in the PWHL just get the Agreodome as a practice facility? If so, another bad look on the Canucks. |

They did. I find it interesting when they announced the franchise, where it would play and where their practise facility was. Why announce where you practise? |

Yes a practice facility, funny stuff to know the difference a noun and a verb. If anyone has the time to figure it out, it’s you! |

The fact we are even contemplating trading Hughes is insane. I get it he may want out at one point but provide the kid what he needs to succeed here and all should be good. If it means trading Pettersson then so be it although I'd like to see Petey bounce back here and not on another club. Gonna be a big task for Rutherford and Allvin. - LordHumungous

We have some great pieces and if Boeser goes so be it. I think he'll be in Minny.
But if MNGT can show Hughes they are committed especially by grabbing a few top centers all should be good.
Replacing Miller and even Horvat to some extent is super tough but it can be done.

Might be a good time to ban yourself. First the endless toxic positivity and now this.
Some self-reflection will be valuable. |
