How many have McDavid or Eichel on them? - aecliptic
If both are smart, they sign shorter term deals, especially McDavid. If cap continues to rise, he could re-sign again in three years at a higher AAV |

Man I might be crazy but I would give McDavid 20 AAV a year…but needs to max term to do it |

Its a huge gamble, you sign a 2-3 year deal in hopes to get a larger contract later on, you better hope you dont get hurt. |

I offered Laf and Schneider for Samberg and Connor, and now all of Winnipeg is after my balls. My reasoning is Connor would leave as a UFA and theyd lose him for nothing
To be fair, I didn’t realize how good Samberg is viewed tho. He’s very good apparently but how the hell would I know that playing in Winnipeg lol |

Hes good, but also locally in Winnipeg really really loved. He'd be great paired with Schneider or Morrow because hes just so steady which would complement the more offensive minded defensemen. I was thinking more along the lines of a deal revolving around Othmann+ (including or a subsequent trade involving Soucy). |

We couldn’t afford him without trading Soucy and probably Parssinen. 6 million or something like that
I think we’re done til the TDL tbh unless something falls in their lap. Which I’m fine with btw. I like the team right now and I think they fixed alot of issues. I know I’m in the minority |

Oh Im sure it is... but its all massive pipedreams.
Done right, the balance of the team could really be fixed but thats unlikely. I could totally see Drury overpaying for some overrated FA because none of the key guys come to NY and hes gonna have to find a need to spend to the cap max. |

We’ll get McDavid and Connor and you’ll like it
How much would you pay Connor? I’d think he gets Marner/Rantanen money |

LOL. If we got McDavid, I could see Panarin resigning on a big discount. There's no shot at getting both McD and Connor. Hell we would be lucky if they would even entertain a conversation with Drury. |

The only way im keeping Panarin is a discount. Ie - Tavares kind of discount. Which he might be willing to do. 3 x 6 AAV is probably my max. But I think they need to move on from Breadman next year and spend elsewhere. The taint is real imo.
What about Kaprizov? I didn’t realize he was a 5th rd pick. Thats crazy |

It’s a tough situation since he holds all of the cards. If they’re in a playoff spot by the deadline and he’s not signed yet, I’m assuming Drury holds on to him. First off, he could just say no to a trade but also, could be another trade that ruffles feathers on the team. Shouldn’t have to worry about that stuff, but here we are. |

You near a Buck-ees? I went to one in April before our cruise, on the way to Galveston. I imagine they’re like 7-11s up here, on every corner. Anyway, my wife spent like $150 bucks in there lol the brisket sandwich was amazing |

If you were on your way to Galveston then you probably stopped at the one in Baytown off of I-10. I work across the way from Bucc-ees in Katy and live 20 minutes south in Richmond |
