I was listening to the fan before and they were discussing who would be their Mt Rushmore of wrestlers and none of them had Ric Flair. I’m like cmon. Flair revolutionized the mic. But yea I used to rip shirts like the Hulkster |

The thing with Flair is that he was an NWA guy, unless you lived in the south and/or followed the territories, you didnt really see him. Hogan was already known in Japan in the 70s, and then once Vince got the television rights it and made these PPV events a full on showcase it changed everything. Hogan was the face of it.
Its really hard to dial it down to 4 because there were many different phases of wrestling and all played an important part. |

I think you could do best mic skills, best technical, best heel, best good guy. Something like that |

Absolutely, the heels, for example, rarely ever get any love on those "best of" lists and they are so important. |

well Michael Mcleod is easily one of best faceoff men in the world and now is suddenly an available UFA
I don't really see a fit with Carrick here but you never know
somebody will likely grab him quickly |

I’d look at Dube first for upside offensively and take the 3C job. But I doubt Drury wants more bad PR after the Panarin stuff |

He did play for Sully for a bit, particularly his first few years in the league. Could be more or less brought in as a player/coach for the offseason/training camp. |

Yea I didn’t realize he was from Massachusetts. Maybe some leadership to explain how he wants things. Player to player. It’s not a terrible idea I guess. He might be a good PKer too.
Maybe they’re on the verge of trading Othmann or Berard? 🤔
It’s all coming together. Rangers wanna be team USA, with a Russian goalie |

They'll likely get more for Othmann if they go for a bigger fish, but I dont think its gonna happen. I think its more to explain Sully's system and how he wants guys to play player to player. Its so different when you have a peer doing it, especially for the kids since we have quite a few. Between Othmann, Berard, Parssinen, Edstrom, Rempe, Perreault... I dont think any of them are over 24yo. |

Would you do Soucy and Othmann for McDonagh (50%), or retain some portion to make it work
Bring Mac home.

No. McDonagh doesnt really move the needle for me honestly. Its a strictly nostalgia move. |

He was a + 43 last year, 20 mins a night. Rangers need more leaders. At this point I might trade Othmann
Our left side would be really good, Vaaks 3rd pair
The only way to get him is Soucy goes so they’d need a decent prospect back |

I’d like to reacquire Mcdonagh, I just don’t think Tampa would want to retain 50% of his contract.
I think they’d prefer just to have him. |

Tampa wont trade him anyway, hes too crucial to the core leadership of that team. *sigh* I wish I knew what that felt like.
Regardless, I get the idea of why to grab him, and its not that hes bad because for his age and mileage hes still pretty solid, but its just I dont know how Id feel about trading a 22yo for a guy thats probably gonna retire in 3yrs. Id prefer going for someone younger. I initially wasnt so hot on going for Ferraro, but my stance has changed on that and Id prefer someone like him over McDonagh... or another budding prospect, like Bichsel who Ive been all over since before the deadline. Also, its likely Schneider would stay LD were they to make this move. I think theyre gonna give Morrow a long look with the team unless he totally flops in training camp.
What about trading Othmann (+ package) for Zacha? |
