You know what the numbers are?
- Cptmjl

No but basing on his last contract he’s gotta be around 4 million range, no?

Wow look at the Rangers letting their fans know they were rebuilding in a letter. A really knowledgeable hockey insider once told me a team would never do that.

My thoughts were as long as it’s under five million. Just made it.

Yeah I mean it’s on the “low end” range for a 25 goal scorer. I think it’s a good value sign imo…..even if it was already ironed out by Lou. Palmieri is a vet who can contribute and if need be moved at the deadline (unless you’re Lou)

Let's get rid of some vets now. At least Lee or JGP need to go.

It’s a deal for the Islanders. Palms gets to keep his family in place.
Win, win for both parties.

I think with Desrosiers being the face off guy and JGPs success in the dot I don’t think they move JGP. Plus the French Canadians love their own lol

Stefen Rosner

$4.75 AAV for Kyle Palmieri, $850K AAV for Boqvist, first reported by @FriedgeHNIC. Can confirm.

We may need to wait for the deadline. Hopefully there are one or two new faces added to the lineup this year.

Might not be terrible to move Pageau if there's interest...if they want to try Ritchie at C, 3C behind Horvat and Barzal wouldn't be a bad place to try him out, and I guess they could slide Cizikas up into that spot if it doesn't work out.

Might have to. They still need to sign:

- Dobson
- Romanov
- Holmstrom
- Tsyplakov
- Gatcomb

and maybe:

- Perunovich
- Fasching

With just short of $21M in cap space. Dobson/Romanov could make that number get real tight real fast

Personally I’m not a huge JGP guy but I can’t ignore his face off success. I would move JGP if they had someone in mind to sign (Yanni Gourde) to eat his minutes, while adding draft capital

It kills me a team with very few stars having Cap issues. Fasching and Reilly can go.

Palmieri is one of those players where I feel like any day now he’s going to be worthless on the ice.

With what o hope this teams plan is I hope by the time his contract is up where looking to add better players in a legit push to compete. Like I said I was pissed about him not being traded. Him being resigned I’m indifferent to.

He should have absolutely been launched to the highest bidder. But the good news is, they can still dump at the deadline and recoup draft capital for a big draft next year.

Edit : first year of Palmieri contract is full NTC. Year 2 is a 16 team list

I’ve said this in the past. The one team I could see looking into some of our vets is the Sabres. Team needs vets. Whether it’s ours or not is the question. I could see someone like Lee going there. Probably a pipe dream and I doubt JGP or Lee go anywhere till the deadline.

I honestly thought that was going to happen this past season, but he was their best player on the ice more than a few nights. Let's hope the jolopy has two good trips left in it!

Lee to Sabres, yes please. I just don’t see how his style fits the new regimes want of fast hockey. 🤷‍♂️

He can score for sure, doesn't bring a whole lot of anything else

I'm going to be way more concerned with term moving forward than actual money and I'm OK with two years, especially if he gets moved in the 2nd year. Hopefully he can keep producing and be worth something.

Term is the key. The days of 7-year deals for all need to be over. You do not think Palms can be moved this upcoming deadline?
