Well he arguably took advantage of Danny.

That’s still to be determined IMO. I don’t think either player will be anything special. The best player might end up being the 2nd round pick.

How exactly? Drysdale is only 22 years old, you have no idea what he wil be like in 2-3 years. He is already showing improvement. And Cutter, well Quitter is having a decent rookie season, but nothing to write home about.

He is not. As I said yesterday that doesn’t have the effect you think it does.

What part of arguably are you struggling with?

Who has more trade value today between the two? Now I expect you to say JD does.

You say have no idea how JD will look. Yet seem to know how cutter will look. Sorry don’t see much improvement from JD at all. Negligible.

Cutter just turned 21. JD 23 in 6 weeks.

A fact in your world. Teams would easily take 2 other dman before Risto.

Flyers defense overall sucks. Stats and all the other data out there doesn’t lie. He is part of that suckage.

Are we sure the Flyers should be so hasty to deal Laughton, Risto, and Uzmenko? Could probably use some more evaluation time.

Can the Flyers get a 1st for Laughton? I just don't see it.

On the Philadelphia Flyers interest in a top-line center, Scott Laughton, cap flexibility and Andrei Kuzmenko

Kevin Kurz of The Athletic: (mailbag) It does make some sense that the Philadelphia Flyers would be interested in a top-line center like Elias Pettersson but he does come with some big question marks. He’s also got an $11.6 million cap hit for seven more years. All things considered, that’s likely too much for the Flyers.

The Flyers want to make sure their culture around the team is good. Forward Scott Laughton is an important part of that. GM Daniel Briere said he’s not shopping him. The cost would be high. If the Toronto Maple Leafs were to offer a 2026 first-round pick and a prospect, the Flyers should consider it.

After the Morgan Frost, Joel Farabee trade, the Flyers gained some added cap flexibility and they could be aggressive this offseason. Briere may have been alluded to using the space for a trade or two as opposed to luring a big-named free agent.

Briere said that Andrei Kuzmenko would have been a potential free agent of interest this offseason. They may give him an extended look as opposed to trading at the deadline.

FWIW

Laughton could be moved by the trade deadline if Brière receives a significant offer that would accelerate the Flyers' rebuild. However, he appears to have set the asking price so high to discourage teams from calling.

Odd no one ever mentions that losing culture that surrounds laughton. The aura around this nonsense is unreal.

Local media too busy suckling at the Comcast teet than to ask such a simple question. They do know this team has sucked going on 10+ years right? Hello McFly? Anybody home?

Yes just odd to me no one reported said surgery. From either side.

Hope he wins and makes the Flyers look like the incompetent organization they have become.

Unfortunately for the Flyers to terminate a contract like they did, they would need permission from the nhl.

So my guess is they have a good argument or the nhl wouldn't let them do it

The league gave the Flyers approval for terminating his contract since it is the NHL that is defending the termination. They wouldn’t have done it unless they thought they had a case they could win. Johansen’s the bad guy here.
- psuhockey

Exactly. This huy has been an issue wherever he has gone. The Flyers literally have the Corpse of Ryan Ellis on the books still and no effort has been made to try and get rid of him. If the NHL backed the decision, theres clearly grounds for termination

Either way I dont think it matters. Philly got what they wanted out of it. The cap space was unused so the cap would go on the books for this season and he would get paid if they lose and they are done with him next season. This is the reason both NSH and PHI have refused to use the cap space.

You this desperate to look for a reason to hate the team? If Friedman says the Flyers are looking to move him this season, I trust that source a lot more than the bleacher report......

I do not believe the league has to approve the termination (they may offer their opinion). Though not 100% sure on that by any means.

I imagine there is certain minimum criteria one must show to terminate. Flyers likely proved that minimum. Doesn’t mean they were in the right. Especially seeing the comments, the flyers and their Doctors made. Do they have new evidence? Possibly. Hopefully more details emerge.

At the end of the day (who knows when this is settled- after the season?) I bet he gets all his money and will have zero cap penalties/implications for the flyers. If this does happen will open a can of worms for other teams to get potential cap relief.

Just every post about everything is negative, even michkov they gonna ruin him.

I get the direction the team is going is not what you would do and myself, but doesn't mean it won't work.

Yes tanking can get you elite talent and has a small % chance of working out better but it also has a lot more risk of failing

You are the one missing the point..... If Friedman says they are looking to move him this season does that would mean they are not discouraging teams from calling as they want to move him...... Both cant be true. They either want to move him or dont and the more reputable source says they do. They have also reportedly received calls on him already. Friedman already reported the Jets offer and there has been a Leafs offer out there for about a week now.

What you perceive as negative is simply realism.

I have never once posted they will ruin MM.

I have zero confidence in this management group or the direction they are taking.

The Flyers way is proven to be a failing way.

I am actually getting more and more positive that Laughton will be moved. Prior to the 4 nations and not today, there just seems to be a lot of smoke out there. There are some teams that like to make moves prior to the actual TDL so I am curious if someone tries to pounce soon.
