What's the over/under on the number of Hawks players traded in the next two days? I'd set it at 3.

I've got Reichel, and two of the defensive guys. LOOOOOOOOONGSHOT chance of D!ckinson, and/or Mikheyev, but I'd highly doubt that.

Easy Chunk, you're gonna give Scott wood

I don't get the Frederic contract at all. Tirabassi just posted "this is the most Stan Bowman poop I've ever seen", and he's right. He's 27, middle six, and a decent overall player. Why on earth are you locking him up for 8 years. Even with the cap going up, it just doesn't make sense. You can find guys to do what he does, and not commit to them long term.
- Chunk

And he gave him trade protection!!!! For a fringe top 9 player........

Nobody loves backing himself into a corner like baby Huey......

No one really has much value that we would trade. Maybe 1.

Would like to see them send Reichel and Dallas 2nd round pick to TB for Isaac Howard (not sure if that would be enough- lots of teams interested in him so there may be a mini bidding war)

Do not think Murphy is going anywhere. Crevier (rights) gets you what? D!ckinson? They probably have more value at the TDL than they do now.

Think Mikheyev stays as he was one of our better forwards last year.

$4.38M AAV. That’s a good deal for team and player, however JT needs to be on a more defensive oriented roster, the Leafs are not that team.

it's a longer term than most people would like, but it's not a make or break contract either at that AAV. I think we are about to see levels of dumb for term and AAV being handed out in the next week that make this looks like nothing.

Pronman has Misa at 2 and Frondell at 3 in his last mock.
Last year he had Demidov at 9 so he was way off on that pick. But he also nailed the 1st two picks last year.

The Misa,Frondell thing reminds me a lot of Demidov/Levshunov last year. There was lots of talk that Levshunov was gonna be 2 and then late talk of Demidov possibly being 2 but we know how that all worked out in the end.

I don't expect the Sharks to take Frondell at 2.
I don't mind the Hocks getting Frondell at 3 honestly, just hoping for either a trade today/tomorrow or a move in FA where they land someone else to help Bedard.

- captainserious

A stronger faster Bedard could be moving towards Stamkos like.

The Benn and Taveras signings reek of teams in denial. Good for us.

MUTIPLE PICKS ROUND 1

SJS 2 1st (2, 30), 2 2nd (33, 53)
CHI 2 1st (3, 25), 2 2nd (34, 62)
NAS 3 1st (5, 23, 26), 2 2nd (35, 55)
PHI 3 1st (6, 22, 31), 3 2nd (36, 40, 48)
PIT 2 1st (11, 12), 1 2nd (59)
CLB 2 1st (14, 20), 0 2nd
MTL 2 1st (16, 17), 2 2nd (41, 49)
CGY 2 1st (18, 32), 1 2nd (54)

Lots of trade-up ammo if anyone wants to trade down.

Wonder if PHI or NAS might trade a bunch of lower picks for one of the PIT picks.

Teams with multiple RD 1 might go high-risk, high-reward on one of their picks. Might leave some safer picks at 25.

34

Bill Zonnon 6'2", 190 lbs
Rouyn- Noranda Huskies

Constantly supporting teammates in all three zones, Zonnon jumps to the aid of defencemen on the back wall, gets the puck back, offers timely passing options, and moves the puck quickly in transition, orchestrating clever passing plays and entries in the offensive zone. When no play is open, he falls back on his forechecking ability. Defenders retrieving the puck better hurry their play when facing Zonnon. If they take too long to pass, the forward comes barreling down on them, pinning them to the wall, freeing the puck with his stick, and moving to an open teammate. -

Per Lebrun:

8 year $9.5M AAV for Dobson

Both firsts (16/17) and Emil Heinemann

EDIT: For sure they are going to go hard after Hagens as well.

Ritchie + Eiserman + 16 and 17 for #3?

Ritchie projects as a strong 2C (similar to Frondell) + Eiserman adds scoring and 2 1st round picks...

Howard can go back to MSU and go FA next year, you shouldn't overpay.

Taking age out of the equation, who would you prefer?

Dobson
Jones
Nurse

They are all really close to being the same guy (although FLA has Jones on a sweet deal right now). Even with the down year this season, I think I have to go with Dobson (you might be able to talk me into Jones). When you take age into consideration, it's a no-brainer. Nurse is just severely overpaid.
