A friend of mine just sent me a clip from Wheeler's article this morning about Spence.

It says that he lost a ton of weight (10 lbs) toward the end of this year after he split his tongue in half. There were several complications, but he wasn't able to eat much for a while and struggled breathing. He played pretty much the whole time this was going on (and still ended with 36 goals and 82 points).

Likely explains his drop down people's boards this year after being near the top of it going into this season.

paulr's new Calum Ritchie.

I still don't see him falling to #25 and have never really felt they'd stay at #25. This is the type of draft where you typically see a buttload of trades. Grab your popcorn and bourbon ladies, it's gonna be a wile first round tomorrow night!

I lost Demidov last year, still hoping don't lose out on Hagens this year, even though the concensus seems Hawks aren't interested.

Best overall player should still be the pick!

Fortunately, i won't be disappointed in real time, just realized i have a concert at my local winery on Friday night, and a Brewzle bourbon tasting on Saturday, so for the first time in many years, I won't see any of the draft.

I try and get here on my phone, but i hate dealing with this site on my phone, its almost impossible to use as the team monikers to get to the Hawks page, don't show up on my phone.

No LTIR in the new CBA?
Will it make for a boring trade deadline? Or are they slightly changing the rules?

From what I've read, they are saying that the team that is iced during the playoffs will need to fit under the cap. So you basically can do what the Hawks did with Kane to get Vermette (and all the other examples since then).

EDIT: also, in a move that warms my heart, it sounds like they are going to cap new contract lengths to 7/6 years (resigning/FA signing). Drop that one or two more years and it's perfect for me.

One would think that Nill has to find a way to re-sign Granlund to keep him a part of the Finnish Mafia after giving up that much to rent him and being so weak up the middle.

As there seems to be no consensus whom to take a 3OA, would you trade it to the Islanders (so they can draft Hagens) for Holmstrom (24, 6'2" 214, LW, 20-25-45 this year playing on 2nd line) and Eiserman (doubt they include Ritchie)? Would that be enough?

You get a bigger player who has shown they can play top 6 (and LW) and a goal scorer (warts and all)?

KD needs to pounce on this. Bring in a new #1 goalie that would then allow the team to ship out Knight

If the Isles want Hagens badly enough, and assuming KFC isn’t interested, they can include Ritchie as part of the package.

M-E Vlasic on waivers for purpose of buyout by SJ.

Interesting as I was reading there was little to no interest in doing this as they have roster and cap space and would like a stronger vet presence.

Iam frantically working to put my last version of the draft b/c these bozoz migarted the info prior to June 6th and it is not my rankijgs. I am at a reunuir with my kids and g-kids, and I am running out of preciuos time.

I do nees traffic there b/c I want this Lines.com team now that now that I started fixing it they will come.

Becasue one theri end they never changed Utah hockey club to Utah Mammoths, the brilliant migration (they forgot to tell me about!) simply dropped Utah out of the draft so I had work to retstore this and since their version was post lottery no new trades since showed with correct teams.

I am not sure if I can do this all before Friday.

NO I think when it was revealed he played injured, it boosted him back up to slot #21.

I think where the dee-men get selected dicate who long he lasts.

He is a poop stirrer not matter what part of the line up he maxes out at...

Cam Robinson is saying Frondell isn’t a true center, he doesn’t drive the play and he’s not creative. He thinks O’Brien may be a riser in the draft because of his elite play making and stick handling.
- paulr

Did you click on my lengthly profile? He is a centre defensively and offensively but not the rzzle dazzle handler. That drive play acumen will improve as he gets even stronger and more developed.

(Paul, I wrote at tome on him.)

The shot, the hits, the contact is how he dominates.

I'm starting to like Bill Zonnon the more I see of him. Seems like a guy who forechecks really well, has some hands and doesn't cheat the game at all.

Would you trade 3rd overall pick for knies?
3rd overall to Montreal for ? They want to move up to pick a center same with the Rangers so what return from each team would make that Davidson would consider moving that pick? I want hagens or Desnoyers as the pick number 3 overall if Misa and Shaffer are off the board.

so are the Rangers looking to move up for a center at 3 or 4. Pittsburgh has nothing to really offer as far as prospects draft capital yes but i think Davidson wants quality instead of quantity. Rangers and Montreal are better trade partners for the Hawks.

Imo how I would think draft ranking for the Hawks in what order minus Shaffer and Misa.

No pucking way

If KD trades the 3rd OA, it'll be some over the top deal, and i don't think any team will be willing to give up what it would cost to aquire it.

I don't know about that.

Question;

If Knies, as currently developed, size and experience, was in the draft tomorrow night, where do you think he'd be drafted?
